Ours finished fairly recently. Everything went swimmingly apart from one neighbours objection which amounted to nothing in the end.
We got an architect (circa 2k) and structural engineer (circa 1k) talking to get the plans drawn up. Then got some quotes from several builders.
We left all the...
Whole house was covered in nasty wallpaper and we used a steamer. No issues with the plaster.
Only issue was the different types of wallpaper as some more problematic than others. Soaking and scoring several times done the worse of it.
Whatever you do will take a bit of time.
Wonder what you guys use to stop your bi folds from blowing.
Only solution I can think of are heavy door stops.
We've got a bit of a wind trap by ours and worried they'll slam shut if it gets too windy, hurt the kids and or break the glass :-(
Is there some mechanism on the market that would...
Although the plasterers agreed to dot and dab in such a way the cables could be pulled through, it turned out not to be the case.
Those you linked would fit but they aren't snug and there's some give. The Play 5 connections are molded slightly differently so there's no movement or give.
These...

Thanks

I’m swapping them for a pair of Play Fives, however the ends that plug into the units are molded differently.
My other problem is I can’t...
Our extension finished a couple of weeks ago and overall we are really pleased.
To kick it all off we just invited a few builders around to get a general ball park figure of costs and timings. From there we moved onto the architect and then the structural engineer before choosing the builder...
Plus one on the combination pan and sink if you are going to redo.
Our downstairs loo has been siliconed to porcelain tiles. Even the mother in law with her backside wouldn’t budge it.
Has the architect recommended anyone?
We are 8 weeks in and it was all a ball ache finding someone to take the job on. But we found someone in the end. Just got to stick with it.
Thanks both.
These are going to run alongside ceiling joists then drop down a wall in a cab.
Unfortunately the single join would be floor joist location rather than the wall.
Hi,
We are having some renovation work done and I have an opportunity to relocate a managed switch and other bits and install in a small data cab a few metres away.
I have a couple of wireless access points in the house that get their data and power from the switch being moved via the Ethernet...
