Had this in the 11-flat block I bought into. Basically the developers span up a PLC in the name of the building, each flat owner owned one share in 11. We all paid management fees into the PLC each year and managed the company ourselves. From these fees were covered communal area cleaning...
We now have Solidors front and back. Zero complaints, love the doors. They're not cheap but then again not as expensive as Rockdoors. The local firm I got them through disposed of the old doors for free.
I still have a Rightmove alert on my area a year after moving because a) I'm interested in the market and b) I'm nosy. At least once a month I get notifications on the same dozen or so properties that are continually discounted a grand here or there. They've been on the market for at least 2...
The only issue I see now with buying Hikvision is that apparently their support won't give you unlock codes if you forget your camera's password unless you have proof you got it from an authorised re-seller.
Never had to call them myself but there are anecdotes of people finding themselves with...
This is a problem in store too now. Always at Argos they ask for your email as nonchalantly as asking for payment. When you ask why they look perplexed as to why you didn't just comply and give them your address.
Yup I do this. Annoyingly though when you catch them in the act they still won't bloomin' react. Asked Expedia why I was suddenly getting loads of Ticketmaster spam at the address [email protected], I don't think they understood in the slightest.
So update: so far this has been a complete waste of time and effort.
Booked in my Eon visit, took a day off work to find the contractor they allocated was based in Birmingham (about 100 miles away as the crow flies) and he didn't show.
Booked in an nPower visit too. They came round when my wife...
Yep. Got random overheats and reboots. Red light flashing even though the battery is full and I have no notifications.
Gave up and bought myself a Pixel 2.
I get why they think it's a good idea. Down side as red is associated with bad, every time I knock my phone and a red 1 appears, my mind reacts and thinks there's something to action.
It's not the end of the world, my phone still makes calls and gives me access to the Internet, I just think OP...
I think it's straw that broke the camel's back. Loads of people have posted on the official forums about it, and the threads have been closed as 'not a bug'. Well it's not a bloomin feature either!
Still no way to customise the alert slider options to have proper on/vibrate/do not disturb...
Getting really frustrated with OnePlus. I thought the mantra was no compromises? Instead we get questionable design decisions that you can't seem to turn off.
Case in point, which genius decided that the 1s on the clock on the lock screen should be red? Why can't I turn that off? The changes to...
See this is the problem with having key infrastructure privatised. Who cares if it's profitable? It's a utility just like water or gas and they should have access to it.
I'm very much against re-nationalisation but Openreach pushes my buttons! Lived in very much not the sticks (Newham, London)...
Thanks for the advice everyone. Finally managed to pin down payroll again and they've accepted it was their mistake. At first though they seemed to be content with the idea that it would all shake out in my pay next month, but were then good enough to reimburse me the mistake directly when I...
No, completely agree. In truth I can dip into savings/use credit to get by, but I'd rather not hit the penalties for withdrawing from my savings, nor should I have to for someone else's mistake.
