Ive just added a rear fan for the very reason of its better than the blank grill and every little helps right? I have the bottom as intake the side as intake and the top as exhaust on 2 x 30mm rads (top & Bottom) and a 60mm rad in the side.

I started out with soft tubing and then dabbled with phase cooling and Pelts before going hard tubing and angled fittings. Now I find myself bending hard tubing to get a cleaner look. If you accept that you will likely scrap a piece of tube or two it isn’t that hard to obtain pleasing results...

Take a look at some of the build threads on here, have a look at some of the YouTube videos. And if you start with soft tubing and Chinese components it needn’t be that expensive. Be prepared to invest lots of time as you will probably get the bug and then the exspence will start as you try...

I’ve seen some impressive memory junction temps with active backplates, I would love EK to make an active back plate for my 3090FE block is it going to happen or remain a dream? I’d even buy another EK rad if they did!!

Get it under water and drop those temps by 20c even when mining at 115mhs. Gaming goes lower still so should be hardly stressing the card at all.

I had a horrible feeling someone was going to say that! Bit of a design faux pas in my opinion.

I installed my block and I have to say the temps are good however I am less than impressed to say that it appears my coolant has managed to get between the block and the clear top plate. Areas around the coolant channels instead of being shiny Nickel are stained with a pale trace of my blue...

I’ve never tried to find the highest single core speed my cpu will do, I’ve only ever overclocked it as all cores to to 4.4ghz, time to see if a single cor will go higher then.

What cpu paired with a 3090FE would give the best frame rates at 1440? Would you go with the cpu with the fastest single core speed you could find or the best all core boost in the hope that DX12 when it comes would give a better improvement.

You would be gutted / furious if you paid £578 yesterday! Silly thing is it seems to me that no one will buy anything now as people will wait for the price to stabilise.
