Quiet, Fast and Big 2.5" 9.5mm HDD?

I've just replaced the optical drive in my HP Envy 14 notebook with an SSD, and kept my 7200rpm Seagate 500GB in place. Although the HDD is fast, it could be quieter, and bigger (space wise). Basically, I'm looking to go to a 5400rpm drive with more space, but it has to be only 9.5mm heigh...

    Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Issue

Yes. Everything installs fine. S/PDIF worked fine on the on board sound card, so it is nothing outside the PC causing the issue. From what you say though - that connection at the rear is an S/PDIF - so at least I know my card should do what I want it to do. Anyone using a Creative card...

    Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Issue

I'm running Vista. I don;t see an option to do that. I've told Vista that I want to use S/PDIF. That worked fine with the on board sound.

    Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic Issue

Ive just installed my new sound card and can't seem to get it to work. A read reviews on the card before buying, but now I'm worries these reviewers were misinformed. Does this card have an S/PDIF output? The reviews i read stated that the "Flexi Jack" port at the rear of the card is...

Connecting an external hard drive to router

eXSBass - chack out the Netgear NAS drive case. It does not come with any HDs so you buy your own. You can fit 2 into each unit and raid then if you want. I wanted this originally but they kept delaying its release and I bought the Maxtor setup instead. Doesn't take SATA drives though, only...

Going to look at this car - honest opinions please .

Really? They treated me like ****, looking down at me as if I was not even worthy of thier time. I gave up the idea of getting a 911 for a few years now due to my marriage break up and needing the cash for my own place. :( No swearing, read the FAQ. Otacon

Going to look at this car - honest opinions please .

Get an RAC check on it - well worht the £120. ALso, the base Boxster isn't that fast and the tiptronic makes it even slower. Still a great handling car though - and looks good. I'm wanting a 911 soon...... hmm....

    Vauxhall astra alternative

How about a 1.6 astra? There is a big difference in power betweent the 1.4 and 1.6. Or do what my mate did with his 1.4 Astra - he fitted a 156bhp 2.0 16v engine and it shifts now (although insurance would not be good!). Have a look at the link in my signature for more Vauxhall related crap. :)

Connecting an external hard drive to router

I have a Maxtor NAS drive - works really well and it has two USB posts on it so you can network USB drives via it or even printers. Really good bit of kit.

The is a 2001 Astra Coupe Turbo. I bought this a few weeks back. It currently has around 200bhp but I'll hopefully get that up to 240bhp soon. I have a some top car audio kit going in over Christmas - which I'll be moving from my old car. The car will have every mark removed before the 2005...
