We were in the middle of a discussion on this "meaningless obsession" a while back and you refused to answer any of my more pertinent questions, yet you are still banging this drum very loudly, aren't you?
VAT on fuel is a flat rate, and doesn't account for when or where people are driving, so it's not the same thing, is it? I could "use" an electric vehicle or one that runs off chip fat...
So you agree with the concept of global contraction.
How about convergence? Should the UK be allowed to produce more CO2 per capita than China?
Funny how Fox has stopped posting in this thread, isn't it?
I'm not arguing that people should be made to drive "electric noddy cars", as you put it. I'm asking whether people agree or disagree with the concept of contraction and convergence. Is that so hard to understand?
I'm not suggesting that the state of development in China is your fault. I'm...
The UK generates far more CO2 per capita than the developing nations like China or India. The only way you could morally argue against China continuing with their increase in energy consumption would be to decrease national consumption. Contraction and convergence.
Why should you be entitled...
It seems as if you are unable to reconcile your moral position on global warming with your facts. Are you unable to answer the questions posed by myself or clv101 or do you just not want to?
