Thought this was an interesting quote and showed where Apple comes from in terms of product choices. This is talking about netbooks and the demands that Apple make one. Or it would be the end of Apple.

Apple have never been about giving every customer what they want. They make a small number a products that try to be the best in its given field. They are all about simplification not making niche products to fill every slot. As said above they make 3 different phones for different budgets...

They've always done them with HE discount prices. I bought mine via HE. :)

Only the sellers could answer that second question, but in terms of the end user, there hasn't been any issues that I've seen.

I've used these tons in the past. I don't think they are non legit codes as apple would have shut them down fast if that was the case. There are lots of different sellers and they seem to sell a ton of them.

They cost a couple of quid and are easily available. :)

I've earned nearly £3000 from quidco in 4 year years. In that time I've had to submit maybe 1/2 claims. Those took 5minutes. If you are claiming that Quidco etc are not worth it, you are doing it wrong, very very wrong. Case in point, my years worth of mobile phone contract is £20.00 thanks...

It's a long shot, but it could have been remotely locked by icloud? Doesn't explain the apps supposedly opening, but could explain it being locked? I'd bet on the wife being the cause though :D

Apple don't divide the company up like others in financials. So R&D costs cover all products. I'm sure they have the figures internally, but they are not released to the public. Asymco, has done a ton of work on the financials, which might be worth reading.

I would ignore Syncreon as they have no control now it's in ukmail's hands.
