    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Power supply by EVGA is same model but different OEM, the main reason I'm very wary of EVGA power supplies..

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

The above poster (to yourself) has an EVGA but knows the OEM so also knows he has a good unit. But that's my gripe with EVGA, far too many different OEMs, the minority being good and the majority being trash tier. So while I'd have an EVGA power supply, it'd be because I did my homework on...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Seasonic are often mentioned, I even run one myself. But some Seasonic power supplies from 3 or 4 years ago did have issues with transient power spikes, mine was one of the first corrected but has in cable smoothing capacitors which can be a pain. As long as it's not a CS, CV or CX, Corsair...

Low powered GPU for old rig

For 100 quid, you might as well. I think the graphics card alone sells for not so much less than that second hand.

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

    I have to agree.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Given you'd get 250-300 quid for your 3070, do you feel that the 650-700 quid you've had to fork out for the upgrade was worth it now that you have the new card? It's a genuine question, I'm having massive difficulty justifying this type of cost so am curious as to how someone who has done it...

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

I'd wait personally, not sure if you'd see 300 odd quid's worth of difference.

I always advise people that there are worse ways than that to waste your money :D

    Blackwell gpus

And that is was if you got one for 649 quid, making sitting out these gpu releases the easiest it's ever been. I wouldn't mind a 4080s, but I'm surprised at how my brain tells me that it's a lot of money for the difference I'd actually see. In the past, my brain went "OMG, got the dosh, let's...

    Blackwell gpus

Yeah, it's working great, keeping me tied to leather jacket man's graphics cards! Sorry to hear about your experience with the Alienware though, think you've been a tad unlucky there as they're generally top notch monitors.

    Blackwell gpus

I blame @lovelyhead for this. If he hadn't sold me such an excellent Viewsonic monitor with its great G Sync module and lovely IPS 165hz panel, I wouldn't be held ransom to NVidia these last few years :D

Indeed. A painful 'rubber glove' treatment.

GPU Prices Suck. This Is What They SHOULD Have Cost

Leather jacket man might have booted you in them (again) by then if by some turn in events he were to reveal the prices for the upcoming Blackwell cards before next week.

Hmm, I thought he could do what he liked with his money, nothing really to defend is there?

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

For me, if you'd have made that as your point from the start, you'd probably have had plenty of people, myself included, agreeing with you. Because that is very true. Sometimes I think you like a bit of back and forth :D

1440p Gaming... RTX 3070 worth upgradeing??

Exactly. Unbelievable, 600 odd quid and there's no value to be had. Nvidia and AMD are equally as guilty for this situation, both shafting gamers. Leather jacket man can go swivel if he thinks I'll pay these prices, gaming isn't THAT important in my life. Can better spend that cash elsewhere.

1440p Gaming... RTX 3070 worth upgradeing??

You gave a budget of 625 quid. For that money, you want a very noticeable difference. I think you made the right decision as what you'd get for your budget wouldn't be noticeable enough.

1440p Gaming... RTX 3070 worth upgradeing??

I'd stick with what you have for now, wait for an uplift that's actually worth the money. Unless you're getting a 4080 or AMD equivalent, I'd save your money at this point in time. Just my opinion..
