On an additional note, I've just finished the Win8.1 to Win10 upgrade process for my X3 and everything seems to be functioning right off the bat.
I don't understand why the update for my X7v2 was plagued with so many niggling issues that forced me to do a clean install and then have to deal...
Not to mention the fact that a clean install of Win10 after the Win8.1 to Win10 update procedure is seemingly blocked by Microsoft's activation servers (despite Win10 being fully verified to be activated prior to clean install). The Win10 product key supplied during the update procedure is a...
Recently updated to the v2.0.0 of Command & Control.
I'm at a loss to figure out how to work the new "customize" setting for fan control in the updated interface - the max fans setting from previous versions was so straightforward and rather self-explanatory.
Here, the fans do not seem...
Grabbed myself the X7 v2 bundle promo.
My mind was initially set on the X7 Pro (which admittedly was stretching my budget) but the v2 strikes a good compromise between price and performance in terms of work/games that I intend to use it for.

Can someone (Atom80;)) shed some light on this so-called "Aorus Project X" and its availability to the UK market, please?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNsuN0KbIAo
Given that the all the variants of the X7 utilize the same chassis and it is only the motherboard/internals that differ...
Is there a "disable battery charging" function for Aorus notebooks? I ask because my X3 acts as a DTR and I have it constantly plugged into the AC mains in the lab.
If so, can someone let me know how to access it please?
Massive thanks to Gigabyte NB UK team (especially Atom80) and OcUK who went out of their way to provide fantastic customer support.
If anyone is thinking of getting a notebook from Aorus' portfolio, you will NOT be disappointed by the exceedingly good support that backs this brand.
No word...
Actually I beg to differ about the X3. Its sleek look is professional enough to sit in an office environment without attracting the wrong type of attention for garish aesthetics. Hook up a X3 to an external monitor and get the best of both worlds. That's what I had been doing until recently.
Hi Atom80,
Thanks for the response. Is there any way to continue this more privately please as I do not wish to derail the thread further with my grievances about the warranty procedure?
Just to clarify, I was not the original poster of that FB message; I was merely lucky enough to have...
With regard to Aorus' global warranty in the UK, I can't say that I have been impressed with the way in which it is currently being handled by Electronic Partners at their Telford centre.
My 3 week old Aorus X3 was working beautifully until it experienced what I believe to be GPU hardware...
