After some general views/advice on cooling 5900X

So my experience is this with this CPU, PBO curve is a.s.s. PBO basically is a tuned overclock, it doesnt really lower temps as its designed to try clock up with less volts into it. What you want to do and its what i did is to use an offset on the DVID https://youtu.be/X21gGLS4h9k?t=221...

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

RT only saves time if the lighting model they used in game was RT only and no other forms of lighting, but yes it would have otherwise saves time in that respect. Raster is still required for RT lighting to bounce off, I think a poster on these forums whos worked as a developer produced an...

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

Just to go over this, but you realise in reality and not PR BS, that Cyberpunk was made with the PS4 in mind right? I am sure someone will bring up the PR BS that says PC was lead platform, but yet the game still looked terrible, every screenshot taken from you guys has really low fidelity in...

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

Perhaps, think of this for a second. Even with RT turned on, some of us are actually playing the game, most graphical effects become under appreciated by that point. I don't know about other people but when I play games, I play them well and skillfully, not often do I spend time looking at...

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

Mean I know its not the only game with RT, my point still stands though.

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

Mean I've played control with RT on and honestly it never drew my attention. Think that really is crux of the matter, for a lot of people turning it on, they just don't notice it as they are playing or go wow look at that shiny floor.

What do gamers actually think about Ray-Tracing?

Personally find using a decent audio interface for audio out just way better. If you want surround you can buy the dolby Atmos thing on the Windows store. When setting up, ensure the audio setting is no higher then 24 bit 96khz otherwise dolby Atmos won't work but it's plenty. Audio...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

I actually disagree, devs care for money. The only time devs ever care to go beyond such as crysis was PR, they gave no care what hardware was out. But guess what, it didn't sell well nor did a lot of tech ware at the moment. Alan Wake 2 has not sold well either, though I like the game. The...

I think you need to play the first one for it to make sense, if you liked it, this is your thing.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

At times they do yes. But this time it's Nvidia, I'm actually wondering why it omitted the new DP port.

He can spend what ever he wants. But can't defend out dated tech by the semantics he is using and his own specific criteria.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Honestly, there's no excuse for Nvidia for omitting DP 2.0 or what ever in the 4000 series. I don't really care for your use case, spending the amount of money you did on a 4090 even with a bit of tax evasion and having something outdated shouldn't be defended in any way.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Honestly world of Warcraft would. Getting a new expansion this year and they always update asset visuals. Before any one moans, it's likely to out sell any other PC game.

    OcUK evening RX7900GRE review thread

Honestly a DAC/headphone amp is much better with direct control. Even a audio interface serves as incredible device.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Mean for out right performance yes. But for pci express lane budgeting it's great. Means more nvme ssds, better quality capture cards and usb cards or thunderbolt cards. Or a 2nd GPU and all of that installed.

    OcUK evening RX7900GRE review thread

In fairness to your point, prices have been over sky high for that amount of time actually. I think stuff is a bit too high price now but hopefully we are starting to see a creep down in price to make the product tier and performance make more sense.

Ten and something month is a long time to tell anyone wanting to upgrade to wait. Its long enough for me to tell anyone don't worry whats coming around the corner with next gen, get it now if you think its good value.

The RX 7900 GRE as of 20/03/2024 - Not such a flawed product?

the media engines are different in each gen granted, the ones in the 7000 series are different to those in the 6000 series but those big gpus just look like outliers more then anything. the RX6600 and 6700XT are different beasts in performance but their wattage are about the same, if anything...
