Anyone doing the Dragon Ride this year? https://www.dragonride.co.uk/event-info/our-routes/ Faffed around and not booked, but did intend to drum up a group to do it but too short notice now. May do a last minute entry if I can find someone to ride with and somewhere to dump the car. Got a guy...

Playing with the dog friday night felt my back 'twinge'. Couldn't get comfortable sitting watching TV. Went to bed a few hours later pretty tender... Shifting position and trying to stretch out felt a 'crack'. Managed to get to sleep thinking "I hope that's sorted by the morning"... Nope! Have...

Is Nicholas Holford someone on here? Random Strava follow request with nobody in common... An Imperial is a good milestone, but also something to use as just a measure. It's a good target and however ridden is usually a good day on the bike (being 6 or 8+ hours!) to say you've done it and how...

Well done, one crossed off so now make them a regular thing and decide what you can do to make them easier/faster/less strain/less recovery etc etc. Or go for the Imperial! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le43Tm6neVo...

Remove the pressure of 'getting a ride in as the weather is nice' and just do some other things. We'll have more good weather, remove the expectation of 'making the most if it' and just go when it fits in and you feel up to it, regardless of what the weather is doing (providing isn't horrific!)...

Hahaha I thought *good luck with that* when I read your comment before I left work, just didn't get time to reply! ;) https://www.strava.com/activities/11144054578 ZRL Finals race last night. Utterly brutal with tired/sore legs from the weekend still, actually came close to calling it but team...

Hope you fight it off swiftly mate. Yeah the winds... They where 'interesting'! Weather was pretty good here - so of course went out to find some rain! Thankfully only bit showery in places but otherwise fantastic riding! The winds not as strong as expected so the long route the club had...

My current is the Topeak Pocket Rocket. Picked up for £11 in a Merlin or Wiggle sale. It's by far better than the 'Topeak DA Roadie' which cost twice as much and the 'Leyzne Pressure Drive' which cost 3x and was half the pump!

Plug worm things. Cheap tool & plug nothing fancy. Levers. At least 1 innertube (the right size!). Puncture patches (either for tube or for tyre!). Pump. Latex gloves so I don't get covered in milky goodness :D In 5-6 years of tubeless I've only had to put a tube in twice, one of those I used a...

WTF at the price of inner tubes. As soon as I'm after something non-23-25 with a 40mm valve (I need 28-32 with a 60mm_) I may as well double the price. Who in their right mind is paying £9 for an inner tube?! Don't need any of this ultra-light nonsense! :o Edit: Meh. 20-28 it is with 60mm then...

@Junglist another guy I ride Zwift with from your neck of the woods, he lives in 'Blackhorse'. Although he doesn't really ride outside anymore he's one of the founding members of SAS 'Salt and Sham' (Saltford and Keynsham) who meet up in Keynsham and he said is a very relaxed group. For...

So yesterdays 32% Red 'Recovery' (high HRV) didn't impact me too much but with several other home things on the go didn't have the energy/time to jump on Zwift. Felt pretty tired so had another slightly earlier night, 6.5 hours sleep... Then this morning a Recovery of 39% - still not quite what...

Yeah skin heals better/quicker without hair, while being easier to dress bandages for road rash without hair there. Also tugs less when being massaged - think that is the main one for Pro's as they focus so much on recovery. But there are some aero benefits to shaved legs - although very...

Anyone ever used protection? I mean not all of us are fathers here...! But more specifically frame protection?! ;) :D Looking at www.invisiframe.co.uk but it's £95 for a kit. Need to do it while frame is 'box fresh' rather than some filth/road grime etc on it. The LBS wants £195 (inc kit) to...

Had a (mostly) good social on Saturday. Fantastic weather, although quite a bit of water around still (glad for guards and overshoes). Hit a water filled pot hold (crater) on the run back towards town, broke my saddle bag clip & buckled my wheel. Grrr! Was with a group of 4 at that point all...

The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

Think you mostly had these answered... But just to add a few bits. 1. (a) CA is notoriously bad at getting in 'sync'. Best advice is to have a strong signal to your Wifi from your handset, while it also being on the 'same network' as your trainer (so no CA over mobile data). I actually have a...

Good pointers. Being social is a good part of cycling with a group, but don't feel like you have to. We've all been there when you have 'new guy' along who is pretty quiet. But don't expect some people to not want to chat to you! It's good to be around people with the same interests so generally...

Random one, but are you back in the UK at all? I've a pair or 2 Rapha shorts I should probably throw away. Starting to get 'thread bare' in some of the stretchy areas. You're welcome to them, maybe ok for Zwifting/sizing but wouldn't wear them out in public. Think one of them is Large, so with...

Haha it came with 12 speed 105 di2. Well changing cranks to 170 which are Ultegra so will be a mix again, with the rest 105 (not a problem!). So have 'new' di2 on this, with 'old' di2 on the other 2 bikes.

Hold onto your hats... But Roady actually spent some money! ;) Got the SL7 on saturday... Thought it was a sign when an INEOS team car caught me in traffic! No idea what they where doing driving through Hereford, but no bikes on the roof for me so the Tarmac it was. Basically built by shop...
