I managed to use the double 6+2 pins to get it working. I’ll invest in a better PSU I think.

That’s the problem then. I’ve only got one 8pin going to it. I’d need to check which PSU I have.

So I’ve just installed my new 3070ti FE, but it won’t boot and the red VGA light in motherboard is on. I’ve used the 12pin to 8pin adapter (I think?) which is supplied, but I presume (and hope) this is the issue. what else could I be doing wrong?

Whoops!! Do you know if they hold the item when it’s in the basket? I had an email with the process and what not and waiting for payment clearing and then ‘picking’ the item. I’m doubtful if I’m honest. Edit: Payment accepted.

Excellent Perhaps there needs to be a sign up sheet with what gpu you’re after and when they’re available for a specific deal you’re informed. That way scalpers won’t be able to buy them. I know one thing - I’m so fed up with the whole GPU issue!
