so did some testing this morning
2025/6156 seems to be my sweet spot.
i can go 2025/6264 and it runs fine but i start losing FPS and SCORE on benchmark. i presume thats because there are errors on the memory its having to resend?
GPU clock is hitting 2050mhz and memory clock 6156mhz
volts are hitting 1.094 down to 1.081.
i agree the memory clock does seem high although that doesnt appear to be my problem e.g i do a +50mhz on GPU clock i get to 2025mhz instead of 2050mhz and leave the memory clock at +650mhz which is...
Cheers maybe its not clear in my post. The 90 degrees temp is my overclock limit.. I am no where near that.
Max temp seen is 60 degree. I'll edit first post to show this.
I know the reason my card crashes on heaven benchmark is because my GPU clock is set to high.
What I am trying to...
Tried that but temp doesnt get above 60
It's almost like running skydive loads some setting that makes the card more efficient
I took a video of it but need to edit it lol
Priority is temp
Yea I guess that's the total fix.. but why does running sky dive then fool the card in to running the increased overclock that failed previously?
hello
i have an EVGA SC 1080ti. had it for a while and its been running fine but long story short i thought id try some more OC on it this evening and i seem to have hit a bug
scenario
Pc started logged in to windows and left for 10 mins... Open Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and set to extreme...
Hello
i recently purchased an EVGA SC blakc edition 1080ti. great card from my initial testing compared to my previous R9 390.
seems to boost to 1950 ish by its self which is fine but when i run Heaven benchmark 4.0 under extreme settings. the card is pretty much smashing the powerlimit...
Cheers
I had my heart set on a 1080ti but I'm scared my 4790k will bottleneck it at 1080p graphics.
I do rift so could super sample it to make it work harder but thinking a 1080 might be the best middle ground.
When is the new Nvidia due maybe I should wait for a 1180?
Currently have a r9...
I see the Vega is back in stock if you had a choice a 1080 or Vega 64 what would you get.
I think the 1080 comes out a slightly better card but 470 compared to 550 is quite a difference in cost.
Will the Vega get better with time and driver updates?
Antec h1200 CPU cooler with 240mm rad and upgraded the fans to something faster. Did have this top mounted but as I don't use the disk drive area i cut it out and mounted it vertically there.
The gpu is air cooled. Triple fan setup.
Yea I think I have pushed the CPU as far as I am willing. Gpu...
yea thats what i also thought
did a load of testing seeing how far i can push the R9 390 now i got 4.9ghz. was going to try for 5.0 but thought what is 100mhz really going to give me
ran real bench 30 min stress test.
then did a 5 x run through on real bench
attempt 2 after final tweaking
