    Halo Infinite

Fabulous game so far. I upgraded my AV receiver specifically for this game. With Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision it is such an immersive experience. The graphics are really nice I think. I just love the "feel" of the game. Killing grunts never gets old.

Unfortunately tend to agree. Having been through similar with crazy specific demands for dinner at a certain time, bed times bath times you name it. Even a Christmas tree story too that makes me laugh/cringe with the guff I used to put up with. Unless she is a crackpot - I suspect she is unhappy...

    Halo Infinite

On its way now - was doing 35mbps or so. I'm off to make dinner, clean the house, play some Switch then hoping to get an hour before bed! Not sure when bed will be, but it will not be before Halo is ready:D

I can confirm it works across my PC and XBox's. Tied to account.

Anyone just given up on looking for a new GPU?

My son just got his first PC (my old Intel 4670K, 16Gb rig) but still needs a GPU. I had an old ATIX1900XTX to stick it in it but really need to get a proper GPU in there. I am now going to give him my 1080ti instead. I have rarely played my PC since I got my Series X anyway. So that is me...

From my personal OPEX and reading other accounts of people in similar situations. Women rarely just decide one day that it is over. For them it is a decision that takes months/years. It may be that finally, an event becomes the final straw, but roots of the decision are already well established...

Anyone able to compare 85inch TV and 120inch projector?

I have had a painted wall before and pull down screen. If your room is multi use like many of us, pull down screens may be a necessity. Too many people are put off projector set ups (and indeed audio setups) because they are told they need all sorts of optional extras. 80/20 rule - you can get...

Anyone able to compare 85inch TV and 120inch projector?

This is a tough one as it just comes down to physically trying it and seeing what it does for you. I can only give you my experience of my setup, 55" TV vs 130" projection. I used to use exclusively my 130" projector (UHD300X, £1000 projector) and Dolby atmos setup for all viewing inc video...

Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X

I assume it will come to Gamepass. I will definitely play it again if it gets a next gen upgrade. Although the Switch version was one I have played the most so it has never been the graphics that have drawn me to this game.

Sorry to hear about that developing situation Mark. I have not experienced that part of it yet. Ex is off on holiday with kids for a week next week so I need to navigate that set of new feelings next week too. I have booked that week off work too to get some huge bike rides in and get lots of...

Ah interesting. I have downloaded that to play. Never played the first one either.

Is anyone else fed-up every new game being a crafter?

Glad other people feel the same. I have no time or patience for crafting and similar game mechanics. The few exceptions I enjoyed/tolerated:- BOTW making potions. Skyrim - enchanting weapons I love cyberpunk 2077 but have not even looked into the crafting sub menus. Character levelling/skill...

Mark, Regards the lawyer stuff and all the talk of assets. The more you can agree by yourselves the better all round. With a child involved I can see no viable reason why the parents should make it anymore difficult than it needs to be. It is no ones interest to screw the other, particularly if...

Also don't automatically move out just because you are the guy. Especially if the ending of the relationship was not your decision,. I don't know how big the place is but is there no scope to still live there whilst you BOTH get things sorted financially? With a child involved and what seems...

All so familiar - pretty much identical things I experienced. It is strange when you look back on it all which you will continue to do and gradually you will peel back a few layers and recognise a lot of the cumulative small signals you missed/dismissed as they were in isolation. Some if it was...

It is tough. Probably the toughest thing you have experienced. I have gone through this. I am 14 months on now from when my ex wife said those words "I don't love you anymore". 4 months being fully separate - first 10 months we had to stay in same house as had to sort the finances regards house...

    *** Nintendo Switch ***

Once that seed is sown, there is no going back. Just give in and buy one. Think of all the wasted time thinking about it and convincing yourself not to buy it when you could be relaxing on the sofa playing BOTW! :D

    *** Nintendo Switch ***

Wow what a let down. I can see the logic to not create a 2 tier console generation, but the PS4 and XBox managed it just fine so why can't Nintendo? They could easily create games that scaled depending on whether it was Switch Pro or normal switch without adversely affecting the installed user...

I'd like to clarify something about furlough

SHock horror - large portion of people who were furloughed don't want to return to work / part time / retire / realise how happy they are not working. That would change if furlough meant no money. Being paid (80%, often 100% if you had a nice employer) to not work and pursue ones own hobbies...
