    Reccommend a glass sealant/protector

Pretty much. You can get some detailing products like nanolex that offer those properties plus UV protection for extended periods of time. Also it helps keep the glass cleaner longer and make it easier to clean,

Do you buy good quality screen wash....?

Generally cheap supermarket stuff but in the winter this often freezes way too easily, so i switch to the prestone stuff they sell. The prestone one must contain teflon or something as the water runs up the screen at speed when you have used it a bit, similar to a coating of rainx so I guess it...

    Reccommend a glass sealant/protector

One for the detailing crowd really. I'm looking for a good glass sealant/polish to help protect the glass on my car. Car is a DS5 so has pretty much wrap around glass and due to 3 sunroofs the whole roof is a big glass panel. I'd like to protect it in the same way as you would with a paint...

I've used the repair pens years ago and they do work but can be a bit fiddly to use.

    Driving in France

I notice you say your driving from the airport to the alps. If it's geneva make sure you're going via the back road out of the airport as the motorway part is swiss until your back into france and you will need a motorway carnet ticket. Also check the car has winter tyres and snowchains if...

*** The Car Cleaning Thread ***

No I wouldn't use the SRP as I don't see the need to use a polish on new paint. I do have a meguirs clay kit in the garage with the detailing spray so may start with that. Then I think I might try this stuff "Werkstat Acrylic Kit" won't post a link but seems to get good reviews. Then...

    Broken car, options :(

It's just a plug and then a circlip with a little arm that opens the valve. No setup necessary.

    Broken car, options :(

Repair the old one I guess. Actuator sits at top of engine next to turbo so is a doddle to fit, and I wouldn't think fitting and recoding an injector would cost 350 quid. Take it elsewhere

    Another new tyre dilema

I run with 36psi all round in my ST TDCI, although you have tyres now I'd recommend the Falken 452 as a cheaper option in the future. 36PSI is the handbook pressure, increasing to 42 when loaded.

New car, new wash regime req'd Been an age since posting on here :) Anyways, New car arrives in a week or so and i'm keen to improve my wash regime and also protect the paint from new as much as possible. I've until this point been an occasional washer with bucket and hose and chamois dry if...

    iPhone 3G in-car solutions

I have a mki 9200 parrot and it sucks bad. The A2DP always drops off after a minute or so the first time you use it. Apple don't support the skip next or back buttons as it's only a2dp v1.0 I think. Lots of other issues with the parrot like speakers fading in or out, or the thing getting stuck...

    "It's got a funny rattle..."

are you sure that stuff isn't the back box baffle. Surprised those big lumps could travel up the exhaust pipe which I imagine is quite narrow on a corsa.

    Flood Damage

I'd guess this car park is manned 24/7 and if they had the keys to the vehicle(you said they parked it) they were negligent for not moving it when the water started to rise.

PAC from t-mob to O2 with some months left in contract?

Have 2 months on my T-mob contract and also have a 3GS coming. O2 sales say you have to get Pac code to them withing 30 days or you can pretty much forget porting the number. Sales guy did mention there are cases when it can happen past this timeframe but I wouldn't risk it.
