    New active speakers: advice welcome

I’m using Dali Kubik speakers (left and right not the soundbar option). Great quality and sound imo but that’s subjective. They’d be somewhere near the limit of your budget though. Best Wulf

Wireless mice, worth the hype or extra faff?

Just get a mouse bungee and it’ll feel like a wireless. No faff with charging/swapping batteries. Wulf

Crumbs...keyboard/mice have come a long way

I’d not heard of them till I saw your post tbh mate. Useful service though if you like the idea of hot swappable boards but don’t fancy the faff. :D Wulf

Crumbs...keyboard/mice have come a long way

I’m a little fuzzy on how much it cost all in all (brain trying to protect me from cash trauma ) but I think it was in the region of roughly £300. However, I’ve just looked on that famous river site and you can order it there, barebones with free shipping. For them to damage this thing in...

Crumbs...keyboard/mice have come a long way

Was worth it to me, I’ve been through so many keyboards you wouldn’t believe it . They are quite expensive though, especially with the added expense of tax and vat through customs. If you do decide to get one, company called madfish (if doing the foam mod) do the punched out foam inserts...

Crumbs...keyboard/mice have come a long way

Lube is literally dobbing a bit of grease on (on the stabilisers to minimise rattle) and absolutely no soldering required. The switches push in, bit like building Lego :D. I got the Drop CTRL high profile and omg that thing is heavy. Can safely say it’d probably kill someone if I clouted them...

Crumbs...keyboard/mice have come a long way

Personally I think hot swappable keyboards are the future. Off the shelf boards are so limited and constraining. Keyboard starts feeling dull and you yearn for something different? Buy a whole new keyboard OR try new switches (of which they’re are a staggering amount :D)? GMMK do a very good...

    Mechanical Keyboard recommendations

Drop CTRL (tkl) or ALT (60%) barebones or GMMK TKL or Pro (75%) with whatever switches you want (hot swappable). Great boards with lots of longevity to change as you wish. Great build quality too, depends whether you want something you can mod versus something just off the shelf. Wulf

    What is your favourite switches?

Halo clears lubed sound nice and thoccy (tactile). Have some Panda’s coming to try and see what all the fuss is about :). Wulf

New GMMK Pro - mechanical keyboard

Agreed. Durock plate mounted stabs are the go to with krytox 205g0 lube which can be used on the switches too (just not on the feet if a tactile switch). Wulf
