I'd upgrade your monitor first so something 120hz+, I've only got an RX470 but the difference a higher refresh screen made was amazing. Ok so you might have to stick with 1080 as not many high refresh monitors at +1080, well that mortals can afford

I've always supported AMD as they are generally bigger bang for your buck. AMD are also backing Vulkan so would like to support them in any way.

Ended up getting the H80i V2 from elsewhere, has a deeper rad and 2x fans. Lower temps and generally quieter (not that i notice with headphones on). Looks the part and seems to be the part. Can get a little noisy under load but it keeps it cool so not too bothered.
