Windows Server 2008 beta trial download

Finished downloading it a couple of hours ago, no machine to put it on though :( Reading through the release notes there seems to be a fair few improvements (as you'd hope!), in particular advances with GP management (loads more configuration options in accordance with the release of Vista)...

    Which CMS?

If you're the site administrator, you login to the backend, you're not a normal user wanting to 'make use' of the site front-end. Then when you've made your changes, you click on the appropriate link ("Go to live site" or similar) and view your changes. I'd say I've worked with a lot of...

Still have DHCP issues on my server

You need to point your server at the router for its forward DNS, it can't magic its own DNS records from nowhere. Basically, in this post: The 'primary DNS' needs to be 192.168.2.1. Hey presto, you should have a functioning network.

Mamboserver.com - used lots of others before it, settled on this for my CMS of choice :)

    Ruby(onRails)?

Anybody here versed in this fine language? If so, and you have a bit of free time to spare, please drop me an e-mail at h4xtbh at gmail.com. For anybody who's not familiar, head over to www.ruby-lang.org and get started. It took me 10 mins to pick up all the familiar concepts, and a further...

    CCTV shows officer punching woman

Size doesn't matter - aggression does. A woman clawing at your eyes and genitals is much more likely to do damage than a massive bloke throwing lazy left haymakers.

    CCTV shows officer punching woman

The method used has no relevance, each and every one of us would have reacted differently. To say you could restrain her using a better method is a moot point, you weren't there, he was. The fact is he did restrain her effectively and with no lasting damage, which is exactly what the situation...

    CCTV shows officer punching woman

An adrenaline fueled intoxicated woman who is violently resisting arrest and jeopardising an officers fertility gets punched in the arm which immediately resolves the situation. She receives no visible damage as a result from the attack, no bruising, no blood, no injuries of any sort. She then...

    iphone!?

Anybody who thinks this will be a failure, and won't be as big, or indeed bigger than the iPod, hasn't watched the keynote speech. I think the release of the iPhone will begin the phasing out of the iPod as we currently know it.

    Another vista thread, SORRY :/

As Caged said, tis one of the least intensive AV apps around, and definitely my preferred choice. It's worth downloading just for the quality voice that announces that "THE VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED", try that at 5am when you've left your speakers on loud, thought I'd woke up on...

Tried BF2142, but when I run it it says "BF2142.exe has stopped working...", but doesn't give any reasoning as to why  Looks amazing aswell, really wanted to have a go at it. Will give a look at Quake 4, have yet to play that either :D Cheers for the suggestions

Games to try on Vista x64?

Anybody tell me of any games that are known to work with the 64-bit version of Vista? I've spent £100's on my new machine, took weeks to get hold of Vista, then I finally get it up and running and there's no games I can play (with the exception of UT) to show off my graphics chipset :(...

    Animal Cruelty? Oh Puhleeeze!

Yes, it can be considered as one and the same, but they threaten our well being, and as such, are fair game. If any animal was trying to kill you, I wouldn't for a second say you shouldn't kill it. But if its not trying to kill or hurt you, what reason do you have to do the same to it?

    Animal Cruelty? Oh Puhleeeze!

Or rather, the lack of. Intelligent people realise that all life is precious and should be cherished. Ignorance doesn't see any link between the life the spider has, and the life that we have. Because you're not clever enough to comprehend the awe-inspiring gift of life every creature on this...

    Animal Cruelty? Oh Puhleeeze!

Riiiiiiiiiight - by that logic then, the death of a human baby is fine because there's 6 billion more of us? Point well made. :p
