This is exactly what I bought for £1700, I didn't choose the diesel due to all of the common issues. I've had my trusty 1.8 for 5 months now, it's not "needed" anything but I have spent a few quid to get it up to my standards but it's looking like a tidy little motor and I quite enjoy driving it...

I fitted some Eibach Sportline springs and... oddly, the ride is way less crashy and jarring than it was before. Result. It may be an Astra but it's doing a brill job as a cheap and cheerful daily which costs peanuts to run.

Far, far more special. Love that.

I have actually done something to a car....and it improved it! Never in my life have I lowered a car and it's improved the ride, made it more compliant and generally more comfortable. I'm truely amazed :D It looks loads nicer to me also. It'll do for a year (stop laughing :D )

Fitted Eibach Sportline springs, new top mounts, drop links, brake fluid change, alignment on my..... trusty 1.8 Astra :D

205/50 is significantly bigger than 195/45, especially in the looks department. Way too chunky for a little car :) T1R's work ok on light cars I've found, but having tried other tyres since I had those myself I'd probably not have them again when better is available for the same money. Saying...

I think perhaps a change to 195/45's would make a drastic difference, those tyres look incredibly bulbous.

Pull it out and if it has red to red and yellow to yellow wires into bullet connectors on the ISO loom, swap them round :)

House purchase and to stop me wasting on hot hatches. Oh it's slow, but it has nothing to really break either. Won't be forever :) Eibach Sportlines go on next Tuesday just because I cannot stand the arch gap but it's a tidy car now so will see me through for a bit.
