Hi,
Planning out my next upgrade and considering the RTX 4080. Does anyone know where I can find some gaming benchmarks for different CPUs with this card? Want to get a feel for the CPU bottleneck point.
Thanks.
Something like this would do it:
https://www.tanks-direct.co.uk/water-tanks/water-storage-tanks/10-25-litre-water-tanks/25-litre-water-tank-with-handles.html
They even offer to add an extra 'outlet' (inlet!) at the bottom of the page. Could work. Buying all the coolant might be the most...
OK, point taken about risk of over complicating. Goal here is just to make best use of the position of the PC to shift heat effectively and quietly. Given I've got an out-of-the-way external wall just a few centimetres from the back of my PC, it seemed like a good way to permanently 'open a...
How about having a little foam insulation around the incoming pipe leading up to the component in the case? That plus the solenoid valves might cover it. Sun hitting the enclosure isn't a problem because of location, so condensation looks like the main challenge.
I think I'm just trying to...
Would be great to see something like this working for inspiration.
Been thinking about the condensation issue. Shouldn't think the tubing itself would have big condensation problems as not very thermally conductive - issue is more the metal parts inside the rig. If there were electrically...
That's a really good point. Hadn't thought about condensation. Could cause some real problems in winter as the outdoor temperature really drops.
Damn. Was starting to like the idea.
Ha! Good point about those strange white objects. Liquid volume might be a problem though. Might need to think carefully about the pump.
Car heat exchanger sounds good. Will look into it.
Alternative might just be to just put a few (cheap) PC radiators in series. Again, so long as the pump...
Having a think about moving to water cooling and wanted to pick the community's brains on an unusual idea:
My PC is next to an external wall. Other side of the wall is a narrow-ish (c.40cm) gap between my wall and next door. The gap is my land and I have access, but it isn't particularly...
Thanks both - some useful options there.
Interesting that it's a lot easier to get Mass Effect branded shot glasses than pint glasses. Clearly ME players are a hard drinking crowd!
I'm trying to find a Mass Effect branded (in some way) beer mug / stein for someone for Christmas. Can find a few available in the US but can't see anything in the UK. Anyone know where I could get something like this?
Ta.
All sorted - turns out overclockers had a free wheel upgrade that came with the chair that I didn't notice at purchase. They both turned up, just separately!
So, I placed the order for the SL5000 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to get notification from DPD that it would be delivered later this afternoon. Except... I've just had DPD driver come to the door (14:00) with a set of wheels. Just the wheels.
DPD still saying my parcel is due at...
Thinking of picking one of these up. A few questions for people who've got it:
1. How comfortable are the arm rests? Suitably padded? I like a fairly soft armrest if possible.
2. How useful are the extra cushions?
3. Any problems with the material in hotter weather?
Happy to hear any other...
Aero OC now packed and on its way!
Gibbo - thanks for your help getting the order through. Very pleased to be able to cancel the pre-orders I had with inferior competitors! Great service from the OC team.
I too have TW:WH waiting for a first install. It's looking very unloved. Was actually one of the reasons for doing a full system build - not many other things hitting both GPU and CPU that hard.
