    RX 6600XT 1080p gaming for $379 on Aug 11

Lol every card out aside from maybe the 3090 and 6900XT struggles with Cyberpunk, the game's a poorly optimised, overrated mess. That's being selective with benchmarks and like me pointing to the 6600XT getting 76fps in DOOM Eternal @4K Ultra settings and trying to claim its a 4K 60fps card!

    RX 6600XT 1080p gaming for $379 on Aug 11

It's faster than a 2070 Super in 1080p and just behind it in 1440p, I'd hardly call that card a '1080p' card. I find the reviews baffling really, given the prices of the cards around it here. But I appreciate the lay of the land may be different wherever these review websites are based in that...

    RX 6600XT 1080p gaming for $379 on Aug 11

Sapphire Pulse, the best of the cheaper 6600 XT models, is up to £410 now on OCUK. I wonder if prices will hover around £450 eventually as stock is getting sold out quick.

    RX 6600XT 1080p gaming for $379 on Aug 11

I agree its 11% slower than the 6600XT @ 1080p, which is quite huge really considering the 6600XT also draws less power. It's still 9% slower than the AMD card @ 1440p too (these numbers from TPU, who bench more than just 5 or 6 games, 14 I think?). 3060 should be £279-£319, 6600XT £350-400.

Unfortunately crypto price has risen up again, by quite a bit, over the last few weeks. The portents dont look promising for 6600 XT's being available at current prices for very long.

Got my Pulse for £375 with free delivery privilege for being a forum vet, looks like a steal. By the end of the week I suspect all those £390 models will be gone and you'll be lucky to get one for £400-415 anywhere.

    OcUK RX6600XT review thread

Yes that convinced me to get one, arriving tomorrow from OCUK. The noise levels are extremely good, as is the efficiency; power draw during gaming from that review is the same as last gen's 5600XT!

It's one of the best AIB models, zero fan stop of course and one of the quietest cards around, with decent OC headroom: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-6600-xt-pulse-oc/

Yep for some reason though I see Sapphire as the more premium of the two brands, despite similar prices for their entry SKUs (since the Pulse line-up).

I read that the main reason for 8 originates from laptops, where a wider bus isnt needed. The extremely good efficiency of the cards in general also hints at this design origin.

I cancelled my order for an MSI Gaming X from a rival shop and bought the £375 Sapphire Pulse from OCUK. That price in todays market was too good to ignore. And the TechPowerUo review of the cooler on this card shows its extremely quiet. Good job Sapphire.

Got an MSI Gaming X for £420 which is a ******* steal in todays market that is trying to charge £400 still for the 2060 or 1660S, both of which are trounced by the 6600XT and it just pips the former for RT perf too.

    OcUK Zen3 review thread

Bloody TechpowerUp, Nvidia shills have made an error in their testing to make Ryzen 5000 much slower! Lol just kidding. W1zzard of TPU really should improve his testing. For a start he's using 3200Mhz memory, but that doesn't explain much lower results alone.

AMD Zen 3 (5000 Series), rumored 17% IPC gain.

Good god some of these benchmark results Intel get absolutely trounced! CS Go is also mad, to see how far ahead Ryzen CPUs are in a gaming test.

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

That's another example of why the 3070 with 8GB memory only is totally off the table as a choice for me. With RT on and ultra settings, it simply cant handle this game (which looks beautiful btw) at anywhere near the same performance as hitting VRAM limit drops Fps but more importantly, butchers...
