    3080 / 3090 / 3070 Gigabyte Eagle Gaming OC & Vision Power Connector Concerns

Not sure if much can be done, but I bought a 3090 Vision from a competitor site that failed just before Christmas. I'm suspecting it might have to do with the pin issues detailed, as I remember one connector being difficult to fit, however can't check now that the card has gone back to that...

OcUK DESTROYS COMPETITION ON SKYLAKE-X PRICING!

I can't help feel that Skylake-X has been made essentially redundant with Coffee Lake out

Interesting, what did you do to fix them?

    New motherboard £130

Unless you need specific features, just go for the cheapest you can find really, as Aretak mentioned plenty of good value 100 series boards about now

Spec me a £500 upgrade to my current setup?

While PSU quality has come a long way in the last few years, I would still say it's worth spending a little more on a mid range unit, a bad PSU could potentially take everything else out if you're unlucky

    October Upgrade - Spec me - ~£1500

Nice new build, must be a real speed demon. Are you planning on running those clocks 24/7?

    Component Temps

What are you using to monitor temps? I've been a fan of HWmonitor for awhile now, but there are plenty of options. Let us know what temp's you're getting. I wouldn't worry too much with no symptoms really

    Noise Cancelling Headphones

The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless cans do sound good for bluetooth headphones, but don't cancel noise as much, and a little too pricey overall really

What about the oneplus series? The oneplus 3 would likely be well within budget for you now if you shop around

Asus P8Z77-V-Deluxe Ram Overclocking Issue (Cannot Exceed 2200MHz?)

Hmm, your CPUs memory controller just might not be up to the task. In all fairness 2200MHz is already a pretty decent speed for DDR3

    Advice on a SFF rig

Might be worth going for a cheaper motherboard, you're not really going to get the most out of a Z series board with a locked CPU. Or maybe wait for cheaper Coffee Lake boards to drop, the increased performance should be worth the relative outlay for them.

    New PC required to last

Also wanting to add to the opinion that be quiet! coolers are fiddly to install, I had a Dark Rock Pro 3 and while performance was amazing, it was a real pain to install. Currently I am quite a fan of the Scythe Mugen 5, reasonable size, good performance and very quiet

Sound from my BenQ monitor not working

Probably not worth using most monitor speakers anyway, any particular reason you're not wanting to get a set of speakers?

    Case advice

Fractal Design Meshify C maybe? I don't own one but it'd be pretty tempting if I needed to do a new build.

New gfx card, 9700 just died

Shame you received a dud, but enjoy the 1060! It's a pretty great card with very reasonable power consumption

    Cheap SFF Gaming PC

A 450w PSU ought to be enough for pretty much any single GPU system. I used to run a 980 Ti overclocked on a Silverstone 450W SFX-G power supply with not a single hiccup, and that Corsair unit is meant to be better quality as well. Most people tend to buy PSUs waaaay more powerful than they need...

    Never overlook the simple things!

Aye, don't forget to clean! Some canned air or one of those electric blowers are pretty important for a heavy use system.

    i7-5820k Questions

I'd say wait for 10nm Intel chips, the current gen isn't really worth upgrading from Haswell-E for most people. Ryzen probably wouldn't be worth the bother either, and if you needed it you wouldn't be asking us.

THE HAF IS BACK! Cooler Master's H500P & Cosmos C700P

I wonder how much better the case thermals would be if the front panel was fully mesh instead of acrylic, hopefully they come out with a version like that or make it an option to buy separately. Still tempted, but will be waiting to see how things pan out
