I have a ageing yet still very usable i7-5820k 12 thread Haswell E CPU, but its starting to show it age now and only gets around 15000 points in Passmark.
I game at 4K and have a 1080 TI,
My question is should I :
1 - Keep i7-5820k until a true different architecture is released...

I was hoping to use software only, like have the NUC in my study connected to my 4K screen / keyboard etc, then kinda remote in to the gaming PC in the rack
I dont really have any budget for this for expensive cables / adaptors etc

I have a very power hungry i7-5820k + 1080 TI in my gaming PC in my first floor of my house and its quite loud even water cooled (AIO)
I cant really OC it too much as it gets waaaay too loud :mad:
I have a server rack in my garage which is nice and cool and would like to move the PC...
Called ocuk, they couldn’t help me as I didn’t get the motherboard from them as I had £50 amazon vouchers to use, :(

I have just purchased my Asus Prime X470 Pro and AMD Ryzen 3600,
I have put it all together and tested and trouble shooted everything else, I think its got old BIOS on it :-(
Im hoping I can find some nice person who will borrow me an old AM4 CPU just so I can upgrade to the latest...
