Corded Digital Tyre inflation for home

I picked up a Ring RTC1000 from Argos in the summer. It worked twice, maybe thrice before always reading an obviously wrong, high pressure (80PSI). Returned it for a replacement and the new one has worked fine on the couple of occaisions I used it. Aside from the breakage it's a good unit to...

    Tow bar mounted cycle carrier

I have recently got a Thule Epos 2-bike carrier. I just use it for one gravel bike but by all accounts is good (spacing-wise) for two bikes being loaded and unloaded independently. Price (RRP) has gone up by almost £100 since I got mine so it's expensive but would still recommend. Flips down...

    First time Driving to Europe

Driving through France in the summer holidays on a Saturday can be busy. A few days ago we were driving from Honfleur to Limoges and the autoroute didn't feel busy but services were crazy! If you don't take the above advice and go off-motorway for stops you could have long queues at the pumps...

    BMW and M Power Owners

I think discount and trade-in were decent given the prices have continued to go up since my initial order, also there were some goodwill gestures for my old car that saved me a lot of costs on that (fingers crossed, only handed it back today). No pics from the pickup today, took it straight to...

    BMW and M Power Owners

It will always have a limit, even when confused it'll have a value (mine sometimes jumps to 60 when it obviously is not) Yep, I'm not too worried about the lasers. Pretty happy with the rest of my spec, need to get over the loss of ceramic dials and soft close doors but they're first world...

    BMW and M Power Owners

That looks fantastic @rG-tom. I was torn between Aventurine Red and Tanzanite Blue for my M550i. Went with the latter as I thought the contrast with the red calipers looked better than Aventurine+blue calipers. I didn't think Tanzanitte+blue or Aventurine+red would look right because the...

Sorry to hear that. At least you know the culprit and weren't hurt (little solace I imagine).

    BMW and M Power Owners

Yep, was wondering about this earlier. Car needs a wash anyway so may try and do it this weekend. PCP term is coming to an end but replacement delivery date is unconfirmed and likely a while away. Another thought I had was to just hand the car back with the damage and see what they say, I'm...

    BMW and M Power Owners

Just been quoted £3,300 to repair some bodywork after some **** hit my car while parked. Pics below I thought looked worse than I thought the damage was, just one small dent in the wheel arch and most of the marks are paint transfer, not deep scratches etc. This estimate was based on an...

    Your bad driving encounters

Perhaps, looks like a couple of other cars may have been hit too.

    Your bad driving encounters

Didn't see it happen but some **** drove into my parked car last night. Obviously didn't leave a note, gonna canvas neighbours for camera footage. Why is it so hard to drive down a striaght road at 20mph without hitting anything?:confused:

    Commuters during this Ice Age...

Maybe a bit late for the "first" Ice Age but hopefully in time for the next one, I've bene using Rapha deep winter gloves with their merino liner. Coldest I saw was -7, most of my riding was -3 to -5 and hands were fine. They're a bit on the bulky side but do a good job, I had been struggling in...

Any tips for road tripping around France?

Not sure where the boundary is, knew I needed the sticker but didn't see signage (maybe missed them watching out for other things). I saw some signs in Lyon that indicated the clean air zone started when coming off the motorway (which runs through the centre of town).

Any tips for road tripping around France?

Some cities (e.g. Paris) require a Crit'Air certificate (https://certificat-air.gouv.fr/) to show the car is allowed to drive in the city, can get a fine without one. Easy enough to apply but takes time, my first application got lost in the post so had to re-apply and took two weeks the 2nd...

Has anyone used car hire excess insurance?

Used these a lot and had a couple of claims dealt with very easily and quickly. Used to have decent % on topcashback too.

Got hit by a cab today.

Nobody was hurt, that's the main thing, and nobody got abusive. The damage is minor so wouldn't worry about it unless you know you were to blame by running the light, otherwise it's for the cabbie to worry about. I've not found that junction confusing, more frustrating, did the right thing...

Moving out of the way of an emergency vehicle

That's interesting, since the introduction of more 24/7 bus lanes in London recently I see plenty of EMS (actually, pretty sure only police) vehicles in bus lanes without lights & sirens, just saving themselves time. I'm sure if tickets were issued it wouldn't be so prevolent, they seem to do it...

What heart rate monitor for strava?

I got a Wahoo TICKR for about £40, figured it was widley enough used and reviewed at a reasonable price point. Been happy with it once I sorted the strap adjustment (kept loosening itself and slipping out of position). Connects to my headunit and/or phone depending on what I want to do, should...

    Some advice on Wheels.

I haven't checked the weight limits (never a problem for my 60kg frame) but have bene happy with a couple of Mavic wheelsets, not crazy expensive but felt good, especially compared to the WTB i23s that came with my gravel bike, and easy to set up tubeless. Have one set of Aksium Elite USTs for...

    Non Genuine Rubber Boot Liners

I got a model-specific boot liner from Gledring for my 5-series from https://www.driveden.com/ for less than £40. Fits well, easy to clean and doesn't give off any bad rubber odours. Would get another one in future.
