Thanks guys.
I watched a ton of benchmark videos and it seems the gpu is up to the 1440 task.
I'll get better image quality and a few more inches for my gaming pleasure (sounds wrong).
Pity I can't find the AOC in stock anywhere
Hi Guys,
I am currently playing the usual mix of AAA shooters, driving games and fifa/FM etc... At 1080p on the following setup.
GA-AB350 Gaming 3
Ryzen 5 1600
Dark T-Force 16gb @3200
MSI Rx5700 gaming X
I'm looking to upgrade to the AOC 27" 1440p 144hz monitor, but I'm worried my hardware...
Got my MSI Rx5700 today lads, and my new Phanteks case.
After coming from an Antec 900 with an Asus RX480, I have to keep checking it's on :D
So damn quiet.
Great service as always (Miss the Haribo though) :)
Cheers lads.
Right... So I'm on 2.2 at the moment, had the same black screen at boot. Unplugged the HDMI cable and popped it back in, immediate signal.
Something to do with a HDMI handshake or something?
Guess it's a good excuse to order a 27" 1440 144hz monitor with DP then :D
Hi lads.
Have my new msi rx 5700 gaming x installed on my gigabyte ab350 gaming mb with the latest bios and chipset drivers etc... Have it connected to a corsair CX750m and have tried both the 20.4.2 and 20.2.2 drivers.
Once installed it boots to a black screen with no signal message on screen...
Thanks lads.
I will only be buying new though. Wouldn't trust second-hand.
I think I'll definitely replace the case while I'm at it, because the space restrictions and no proper cable management in the 900 will be a pain with a large new card.
I'm reading so many issues with the new AMD cards...
Hi guys.
I currently game at 1080p but I'm picking up a 1440p 144Hz panel from a mate soon.
I have a Ryzen 5 1600, 16gb of 3200mhz ram and play everything from Fifa to Star Wars: Jedi Fallen order (lots of World of Warships too).
The Rx is crazy loud (a little better since undervolting), but...
Surely if that's the case (money no option), you already know that a top end system using the latest tech, 32gb of ram and a GTX 1080ti will slaughter what you currently have.
Why not just chuck money at the best system money can buy?
Yeah, it's a meaty monitor and I've no doubt the RX would choke at 2560x1600.
I'll have to seriously consider the 1070ti.
Let's check the monthly funds and see how I stand.
I'm enjoying my upgrades so far (thanks for the advice), but a mate has given me a Dell monitor to use with my 24" BenQ.
It's a 30" 3007wfp Ultra sharp and I would really like to use it, but it won't play ball with my Asus Dual RX 480 (I've tried everything).
I'd really like to use it for...
