My friend with a smart car said he took all the way to London to have it worked on by a specialist and said it was well worth it, the guy worked out all the problems swiftly etc. I don't mind paying, but not sure how to go about finding a local reputable independent specialist? It's a Mk1...

I'm one of those that likes to keep restoring from backup, I have too many old txts etc. unless there is a smart program out there that exports old txts into something browsable?

Does it get super laggy or have they taken care of that yet? To be fair, even iOS 5 is getting Laggy now which is annoying because I know for a *fact* it was fast at everything. It's tough not to believe the conspiracy that the OS is built to slow down after a couple of years to force upgrades.

I think this is the closest thing. I don't know how much I trust that it will actually do what they claim. That's another story.

The CAL 1 seem a lot more subtle in appearance, it's a shame they couldn't just give the CAL 1 a matte finish and improve the audio. Is it me or are these bigger and louder looking?
