    AMD's FSR3 possibly next month ?

Contrary to popular belief, AMD's high end 7900XTX actually outsold the rest of the mid range and budget RDNA 3 lineup as per the Steam survey. That's because most consumers buying mid and budget are misinformed and perceive Nvidia as the premium brand due to the mindshare of the 4090. While...

    AMD's FSR3 possibly next month ?

This should have been obvious to AMD given how Nvidia had made it so easy to switch dlls on purpose. RDR2 got an update for FSR 2.2 a month ago so it took Rockstar over a year to update FSR 2.2 and that still has tons of fizzle on vegetation which FSR 3.1 will resolve but we won't get access to...

    AMD's FSR3 possibly next month ?

The worst part is even though they made it user upgradable, it's highly likely none of the past good games from years ago will ever get it. This is a massive advantage to Nvidia as I can literally drop the 3.7 DLSS in Control a game which is 5 years old, RDR2 a game which is 6 years old and it...

Upgrading 4090 to 5090 - minimising upgrade cost.

Gaming sales are trivial to Nvidia now with them riding the AI boon. They will price it over 2,000 just because they can do it and reviewers can't mock them because AMD is nowhere in the running. They are only competing with their own last gen cards. 4090 pricing was still somewhat influenced...

Upgrading 4090 to 5090 - minimising upgrade cost.

They definitely look at AMD when tiering their cards. The 3080 Super 12GB was sold in response to the 6800XT, as it slightly beat the 3080 in raster and had more VRAM. Then you have the 3080 Ti which was sold due to the 6900XT being able to match 3090 at £500 less. The 3090 Ti was also released...

Ampere would have been significantly better if Nvidia hadn't tried to cheap out with Samsung and gone with TSMC. The reason 4090 looks so unreasonably powerful is because the 3090 was hamstrung by Samsung's node otherwise the leap would not have been so huge.

Hypothetically, had the 4090 existed during the mining boom, I can't imagine the price scalpers would have sold it for

Upgrading 4090 to 5090 - minimising upgrade cost.

Nvidia dropped the price of the 4080 Super to kill the 7900 XTX, not because they thought it was priced wrong earlier. The 4080 was made to look terrible at launch because Nvidia knew that the customer base who would buy a 4080 would look at the astronomical leap in performance with the 4090 and...

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

I will try and provide later. I am playing at 4k resolution.

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

Watching this, its very clear how much FSR has fallen behind the other 2 tech. Heck, even Intel is improving XeSS faster than AMD and their solution as of today is better than FSR and is user upgradeable.

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

You should try out Model E in Forbidden West using DLSS Tweaks. Nvidia have introduced this model to produce a very sharp output at the cost of some slight ghosting compared to Model D and C.

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

There is terrible shimmering on XeSS and FSR and I see this issue in all games, particularly those with foliage rendering FSR almost unusable in such titles. See below images. Intel just released XeSS 1.3 dll which has massively improved the shimmering and using this DLL in forbidden west...

DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

The one clear area where DLSS seems like black magic is foliage. Just play Forbidden West and DLSS vs FSR / TAA / XeSS is night and day. Zero shimmering on moving vegetation unlike the other solutions. DLSS is so far ahead of the others, Nvidia is literally relying on it and RT to sell their...

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

The 4090 prices have gone up since that rumor of AMD remaining around 7900XTX levels of performance with RDNA4. I don't think there will be any significant price drop even with 5000 series.

3000 series was on Samsung node as Nvidia tried to save costs, a mistake they won't repeat again considering how close AMD came to toppling Nvidia's halo product in that generation. 4000 series went through multiple die shrinks compared to that and on top of that AMD was at least competing with...

The 4080 needed to be that fast because of the 7900XTX. With AMD exiting the high end and nowhere close to 4090, Nvidia has no incentive to make the 5080 look good. If they wanted to, they could make it 5% slower than 4090 while 5090 sees a 50-60% boost and it would still sell.

Considering the 5090 will be priced through the roof (I do not expect it launching for anything below £2000), I don't think stock will be an issue. Nvidia also does not have AMD to worry about so they can do whatever they want with Blackwell.

*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

What's even more crazy is that 4090 is not even the full die! There is yet another 15% performance left in the tank and they could raise the power target to 550W quite easily given the overengineered coolers on the 4090. Essentially NVIDIA can release a 4090 Ti, which is 20%-25% ahead of 4090...

*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

This also seems to be the first time in a decade where Nvidia did not launch the 4080 Ti or 4090 Ti. Usually they always end the generation after releasing these cards. And this is with AMD still competing with 4080. Nvidia has no restrictions pricing 5090 and 5080 at whatever they want and...

The 4090 is the first time in years where I just don't feel the need to upgrade all that much. It's so ridiculously fast, the only use case I see for the 5090 is high refresh path traced cyberpunk tier games. This is helped in part by Frame Gen. If it wasn't for the price, this is the new 1080...
