In fairness to LG (though I’ve been disappointed with their oled) my fan couldn’t be heard at all so sounds like a faulty one

boxed it up and done a webnote - back on my older LG 27GL850 and already find it better which it really shouldn't be - guessing OLED for a desktop isn't for me - any other recommendations welcome

I game on my C1 no problem. But think maybe I notice this more because of the 240hz and dropping down. I assume I can return this problem. Shame. Maybe I’ll go for a mini led screen. Colours are great on this one and HDR looks good when it works decently.

Wonder if the ASUS has the awful VRR flicker this one does too though. Been playing a game and it’s so noticeable when I never saw it one on my last LED ugh!

Will give it a proper try tonight. Just such a drastic brightness difference so far for normal desktop usage

Firmware finally updated. Didn’t notice any increased brightness on the desktop. Can see the colour fringing on text but not too bothered so far. Remembered why I hate windows HDR implementation as so many games need that switched on rather just In game. Noticed some weird background juddering...

So far my only impression is desktop is very dim compared to my last LCD and that this firmware update is still going after 1hr 50 minutes

cutscenes are impossible to listen to for me. Stuttering audio. Repeating voices. Awful. Ugh

Bit the bullet now it’s back in stock on OC. Hope I’ve done the right thing.

Thanks. Yea it was the fringing that was bothering me but I can probably ignore it. Also it was due to the wife planning on using it for desktop stuff. Maybe I’ll bite the bullet on the LG now it’s back in stock on their site. Hoping it’ll be back on OC soon

I need to sit pretty close and the mention of desktop text issues on all the new OLED monitors has put me off them. I have the 55 oled for tv

I’m losing my mind trying to find a replacement for my old monitor. Id like a 27” screen with good HDR for gaming but have been turned off the OLED ones due to also doing a lot of desktop work. Any suggestions are welcome. Happy with 1440 or 4k

Been looking at this one for VR. Have the tracking problems with the controllers been fixed since the launch. Also anyone with an IPD around 72 found it ok?

Yeah hard to know what to to with. Not many places let you buy it. Try it. Hate it and return it! I like the idea of the HP G2 but heard the controllers and tracking were really poor?

Yeah tried all that. Can see the resolution improved but it was still out of focus abs blurry for me on both PC and with Quest 2 stuff standalone. No position of the headset really improved it. Has it set to widest IPD and used with and without glasses inlay. Text was hard to read. Godrays were...
