I’m looking for some advice, I’ve been through 3 of the 27GP950’s now and I’ve had 2 out of 3 with terrible issues. The first failure appeared to be a main board issue as it wouldn’t firmware update and the USB ports didn’t recognise anything at all, but along with that it had issues with...
No firm date as of yet, but I’m still making custom cables and other parts so I’ve got plenty to do.
I also have another system for my day to day so I’m not in a great rush.
I’ve been collecting parts since late last year, just buying up bits and pieces as and when I find stock. I understand...
It came in stock, I ordered it and its shipping tonight. Was just incredibly lucky I think. One minute none, next I saw 8, by the time I'd finished the order there were 5 left.
I have a decent PSU so I'm happy that isn't the issue, it came highly recommended on here.
I've spoken to MSI as well and even they have suggested I look at replacements as it is very audible. I'll give the guys in the shop a call and see what the stock levels are like and roughly how long it's...
I've finally had some time for testing and I've been through many iterations. It appears to affect both cards.
What I have found and this seems odd, it doesn't matter how well it's performing or how many frames you are pushing out (or limit it to) the only consistent way I've found to stop...
Yeah the rig in my sig, I'll do some testing with each card individually later today and see if I can narrow it down.
It's the first time I've ever noticed it with a graphics card so it must be fairly bad.
I think one or both of my MSI 1080 Gaming X's has some serious coil whine.
This is the first time I've had anything this noticeable so I'm not really up on what's to be expected and what I should be doing about it.
The sound is a high pitched noise that while I'm gaming changes pitch, for...
Hey!
About a month ago I ordered all the components I would need to build a new system, finally today I got around to starting a build. I've decided to attempt this in a few phases just because if I do it all in one I'll never get it done.
Starting off I had to get all my old components...
Isn't this exactly the same as what servers have had for years and years and years. Never heard of any serious exploits there.
DRAC, ILO, IPMI, BMC, Service Processor etc., all been around for ages and serve a similar function/purpose.
With 3 it's a bit harder work, but I'm finding I am getting better general gaming results from the 1080(s) than 980ti(s).
I'm happy with the upgrades. Will be happier when I can actually build the rest of my system. Tempted to buy some cheap DDR4 to tide me over until mine arrives.
