It's hard to say because I trimmed 50mV off of P6 and P7 at about the same time. That is not good science but the temps are a little lower so I'm OK with it.

It does indeed fit. I came so close to buying a cutting tool and for a year my rad was upside down! Honestly. :(:D Thanks all.

Whaaaat! OK I need to retry this, thanks for the tip. Back in 2013 I thought this case would be future proof end-game but you're right, it kind of sucks.

The Sapphire 64 LC had no manual to speak of but at the time I did read somewhere that down is better. Yes, I'm using the rear exhaust in a Corsair Obsidian 550D but unfortunately some case metal prevents a pipes down position - I guess it wasn't designed for radiators at the back . Need to buy...

I can't fit the rad with pipes down in my case so they're at the top. Does pipes down really work better? I could mod the case.

Liquid metal might be worth a go. I'd like some reassurance that it is possible to remove the AMD Coolermaster AIO but it seems like no one has done that and shared the process online. I'm halfway into the warranty period. Hopefully all of this comes out in one piece... can anyone comment on...

Evening. Has anyone here with a Vega 64 LC (the original AMD Liquid Cooled design) replaced the AIO cooler with a better AIO cooler? It could just be the weather but I'd like to reduce temps and I have my eye on some 1440p 144Hz monitors which means hotter compared to 1080p. I'm not interested...

No it's not, I've never used HBCC. I guess it must be a bug in the current and maybe previous driver. System RAM was at 6.2GB btw.

I'm sure I saw some screenshots somewhere of an FPS counter and other in-game displayed monitoring data like we see in Afterburner. Hmm where was that?...

I've seen tearing in this game with Rivatuner limiting the FPS @144 to match the monitor's 144Hz (Freesync on). So I tried limiting to 143 FPS which either fixes it or improves it a lot. Frame rate control didn't hard limit the FPS so I don't use it.

These were quite good. 1100 MHz during BF1 boot and quite solid in-game. Occasional dip to 500 after dying. First one: BF1 boot @ 800 then 1100/800 in-game with occasional 500. Second one: BF1 boot @ 500/800 and more 800 than 1100 in-game. Thanks, lads. So Matt's almost default settings here...

Is anyone here with a stock 64 LC able to maintain a stable 1100 MHz HBM clock during games? In BF1 mine often drops to 500 or 800 depending on WattMan settings. Currently @ P6 1712/1130, P7 1752/1180, HBM 1100/1100 (MHz/mV), +50% pwr. I guess 1100 MHz HBM could be too far for my particular...

@AMDMatt These optional driver updates such as "17.11.1 (Optional)" seen in the updates section in Radeon Settings. Do you know why they get labelled optional? My guess is that it only includes the changes listed on the release notes page or it's because it is non-WHQL.

I'm limiting FPS to 144 with RivaTuner to avoid that in Wolfenstein. It's a Freesync 144Hz 1080p. I was seeing around 800 FPS in loading/menu screens and the Vega 64 was making unhealthy sounds like uber coil whine. EDIT: I'm still seeing tearing with freesync 144Hz. Hmm. Vsync caps it at...

Agreed, it's incredible seeing 300 fps in the corner. Maybe those 240 Hz monitors are not ridiculous after all.

@AMDMatt I wonder about these Radeon driver updates. Are there any tweaks that they don't publish in the release notes?

There are 2 bios options. Left switch position (when card installed) is primary bios with full power and right is secondary with a reduced power limit.
