I found a 120mm antec fan with speed controller, stuck that on and it dropped it to more like 55c on prime load at 3.6ghz.. think in retrospect ill order some faster 120mm's to go on each side.

I'm having real trouble overclocking my Q6600 most I can get even with massively upped voltages is 8x350 (prime stable that is) and I think I know where I'm going wrong.. my corsair xms is only 667 which is rated for 333Mhz and obviously increasing the fsb on my chip is increasing the ram speed...

struggling with mine, im only at 2.9 and its still failing stress tests.. think ive got a bad apple :/

whats default voltage on q6600? and whats recommended to put through them for high clocks?

bit of a result on that actually, there was an oldish hiper 770w psu laying around the workshop that ive been given.. guess I can put that towards a new monitor for now :D
