I don't really want to get into overclocking, I just want a good fast pc for gaming.
The i9 14900k is replacing my i7 13700k so with the spare CPU I thought I could build another pc, I already have a lot of other bits so if I replace the ram as well all I would need is a cheap B760 mobo & I'm...
Thanks I'll take a look. What in your opinion would be a good choice of kit to go with a i9 14900k? Bearing in mind I already have a Kingston Fury Renegade ddr5 6000mhz cl30 kit & would want a bit of an upgrade from that?
Thanks I'll take a look. I was basing my opinion on the article I read here --> https://tech4gamers.com/best-ram-for-i9-14900k/#:~:text=Here is a selection of the best RAM,Ripjaws S5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 More items They do have a typo tho, it should say best performance ram not best white...
Ah ok thanks, so in theory the Corsair Dominator Titanium rgb 32gb DDr5 7200MT/s CL34 Intel xmp memory kit should be able to run at 7200mhz all being well seeing at my mobo says it supports 7200mhz?
What I mean is in the figures below, is that saying that with one stick its 7200mhz, & with 2 sticks its 6600mhz?
I already have ddr5 6000mhz cl30 just looking for something better to go with a i9 14900k.
• 1DPC 1R Max speed up to 7200+ MHz
• 1DPC 2R Max speed up to 6600+ MHz
• 2DPC 1R Max...
That doesn't mean that it will only run 6600mhz with 2 sticks or ram in does it? I'm looking at the Corsair Dominator Titanium rgb 32gb DDr5 7200MT/s CL34 Intel xmp memory kit as being my best choice atm, will it run at full speed with 2 sticks?
On the MSI website for my mobo it gives the memory info below, does anyone know what the figures with the bullet points mean, like the • 1DPC 1R etc.
4x DDR5, Maximum Memory Capacity 192GB
Memory Support 7200+(OC)/ 7000(OC)/ 6800(OC)/ 6600(OC)/ 6400(OC)/ 6200(OC)/ 6000(OC)/ 5800(OC)/...
Looking for recommendations for 32gb of DDR5 to pair with an i9 14900K on a MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WIFI motherboard (& an RTX 4900 FE).
I think the specs for the mobo says it can use DDR 7200mhz, is it best to go for that speed or is there a reason to get something slower?
So I tried again just now, I had been playing last night & earlier today without incident but just now its crashing again, event viewer says Warning "Disk 9 has been surprise removed".
Now the odd thing is atm I have 8 drives installed, & the 4tb SN850X is Disc 7, even Computer management has it...
I remember there being a couple or more updates to the Xbox app the week it started (start of June), there has also been at least one update to the Xbox app since then too that I was hoping would sort it out but it hasn't.
I should also add that it doesn't happen all the time, it can go a couple...
The drives are for games, my whole setup is built around gaming. I have a 1tb SN850X for OS (slot 1) & a 4tb SN850X (slot 2) atm. I have checked the firmware using the WD app & its all up to date & working well with no errors reported. Mobo bios has been updated & all drivers are up to date.
Ok...
Great, thanks for the help & advice guys.. :)
Edit: Just looked at the SN770 & it looks like the largest they do is a 2tb, I already have one SN850X in slot 2 & looking at getting another two 4tb drives really. I do have a strange issue that has started happening recently regarding the SN850X...
Yes I did read in the manual that If I use the M.2 slot 3 it will disable sata 1, I plan on putting a WD SN850X in M.2 slots 3 & 4 not a sata m2 drive so should be good right? Ok so that means I can have a total of 4 nvme drives & 6 sata ssd/hdd's as planned without affecting the gpu correct? :)
So I have this mobo & my question is, If I fill all 4 nvme slots, & all the sata slots (7) with drives will I lose pcie lanes for my graphics card? Obviously I dont want to lose performance of my graphics card so if I its not possible to fill all of them how many could I fill without loosing...
Yes you're right that is an option, but I had a message in the hmd to continue setup on the monitor which I couldn't do as there was no picture on screen. I might of been able to bypass that somehow I'm not sure, I do still have the cv1 so I may look at it again, but I have the Rift S & it's ok...
My monitor is already using the DP so I cant really try that, but I guess I could try it with an adaptor to my tv to see if it works that way. Not sure if there's much point now tho as I bought a Rift S & its working ok.
I see a lot of people saying how the Rift isn't very good, I've been playing with a psvr & the Rift cv1 for a while & the rift looked kinda ok cos It's what I've been used to, so I know I'm gonna be impressed with whatever hmd i do get next, really looking forward to it.
I do plan on getting a...
