Yeah, I can get an overpriced "premium" model from any of the T1 players, slap a block on and still be ahead :) Will just run it on water for a bit which could be good to test it anyway. Back to shopping...
Based on preliminary pricing by adding to basket, £2599.99, that's a tad offensive. At least with my old Gigabyte 1080Ti Waterforce they gave you a 4 year warranty and golden sampled chip with high factory overclock which could be boosted higher again.
Yeah, sounds about right. Not saying I like the pricing but does seem about right. I have no problem installing it myself, Inno3D just use the OCool reference block but so hard to find a reference card. I won't touch EK blocks any more and the OCool 4090 blocks are chrome plated instead of...
Any update on Inno3D 4090 iChill Frostbite? The 4080 version was available pretty much on release. Just after anything that fits a current or known upcoming OCool waterblock (Reference, FE, MSI).
Same, using Mayhems for years and it's probably been 3+ years since I last drained my loop and still no discolouration in the Ultra Clear. Will be using those for my son's first PC as well in near future.
It's not just goods and services. Brexit has a huge impact on cross border electronic transactions such as SEPA. Large corporate customers are moving payment operations to the EU out of the UK due to huge surcharges levied on transactions originating from the UK.
That's an incorrect generalisation. I covered the exceptions to this in my previous reply and @andybird123 has covered it as well. Don't take everything you read on forums at face value. People, especially when distressed or angry can often misrepresent the situation.
Cryptocurrencies are...
I have had 2 experiences that I remember:
HSBC many, many years ago. Purchased a good in the US (New York) while on holiday with my credit card. It wasn't fit for purpose and the entire transaction on reflection and research violated several Sale of Goods practices in the US. The US vendor...
Agree, had that a few times before. It has to do with how the payment systems (usually Bacs or Faster Payments for these) are designed so the banks aren't just being lazy or difficult. It's part of the process and it's not controlled by the bank.
As many others have mentioned, one of the easiest and best protections you can get will be via credit card purchases (Section 75). This will cover you for £100-30,000 even if just 1p is charged to the credit card. The value restrictions are defined by the total cost of the good or service being...
Is that in reply to me? If so, I don't plan to sell the 1080Ti once I upgrade so even less reason to rush. Will be putting it into the second PC to replace the lowly 1060 it has.
I have never been interested in the stock cards so mentally was never "in the game". By the time the waterblock models come out there's a slim chance the prices will be more in line with RRP since they tend to drop late in the cycle. My trusty 1080Ti will tie me over until then.
Nah, just beat their expectation bar down. I remind my son how fortunate he is when he decides to whine. Now he's very careful about it and acknowledges many of his friends are quite spoilt.
I'd like to upgrade my GPU but don't need it so I'll wait until next generation if I have to. Not...
100% agree with this. Without silly consumer demand for items above MSRP from scalpers then demand would slowly dry up. The chance of silly consumer demand dropping? Almost zero. In fact, it's more likely to get worse over time. Applies to many market segments, especially the luxury area.
The move towards smaller cases is my guess. Cosmetically you need a good size case (Tower, Super Tower or larger) for 13/19 to work, aesthetically and functionally. I use them for my Super Tower because anything smaller looks puny. For a smaller case I would definitely look at something...
I read that as well and in some ways I wanted to test it. Monoblocks can't be reused for other builds so didn't have much to loose. The CPU fins don't appear blocked so any plating floating around doesn't bother me too much. Hasn't broken the pumps or jammed anything up (yet).
I just use...
