I am enrolled on the beta Oculus Desktop App. Have you manually checked for updates on the headset? As there has been a couple of releases since you had it packed away till Xmas. I also do a Power down and reboot after any update both on HMD and PC to make sure these new changes are taking...

I've not had an issue with 90Hz 1.7x render with Airlink at 200Mbps fixed. I am hard wired to my router from PC. So this sounds like a setup issue on the router, or if it does not support at least WiFi 5 at 80Mhz. If you are using your ISP provided router then this is the biggest bottleneck...

Yeah, pricey for what it is when you include the shipping cost. I don't think it will be long before we see other alternatives.

Mayve personal preference, but after much time with the Quest Pro I don't even use the side blockers, I can still feel fully immersed without any covers. Maybe give that a try for a while, and you will adjust to the freedom and openness of the HMD. That said if in a very kit area where you may...

Honestly, I've been playing with the Quest Pro without any light blockers, as my room is very dim in the daytime, and it doesn't take away from the immersion for me. Just nice to have a cool face and no foggy lenses for long play sessions, especially in HIIT workouts.

I owned a CV1, Samsung, pretty every HMD except Pimax over the years. Quest Pro has no god rays, glare. It is clear.

On the lenses, when looking at them from an angle, yes this is visible. Not showing here when straight on. But when up against the eyes, not so noticable

Quest 3 will be a great budget HMD. Massive step up in clarity and image quailty. You have two panels in the Quest pro vs one in the Quest 2, where more pixels are visible giving you higher pixels per degree, and a much more detailed image. This is ejy you can't go off a spec sheet and say the...

AMD 7900 vs Nvidia 4080 vr game benchmarks

If you want the max Clarity, then yes. But even when I had a 1080 Ti, I was running native res with a mix of low/medium/high settings to get the best clarity my hardware to produce in ACC etc.

Might want to watch my video on Sim Racing with the 4090 and Quest Pro if you haven't already. 90FPS Epic VR settings in ACC.

    Pico 4 out soon?

Something worth factoring when making a purchase, as quoted from the Pinned comment in the video below. "- I totally forgot to talk about the PICO 4 in this video. I was a tester for PICO/Bytedance on the unit for months before announcement, and to be honest, it's kind of underwhelming. A true...

I might have to get one of those straps to see. :) Uploading a new video with ACC through the lenses, settings etc. Should be ready in 45mins or so, but that will only be SD, a bit longer for the 4K goodness.

Well they have quick charge via a single USB C cable to the dock. So dock and charge is nice and easy IMO.

I agree. Quest 3 will be a cut down of the Pro but with a newer SOC. It may have similar pancake lenses, but you won't see the same quality QD panels in it. Yes, it's pricey, but when you break it down, new controllers, built in headstrap, charging dock, 256GB storage (Quest 2 256GB is £499)...
