I'm running a ATI HD 5770 Vapor-X on 64-bit Windows 7. My monitor is a Samsung T260HD
The HD 5770 has three outputs: HDMI, DVI and VGA.
I originally had the monitor on my desk connected via HDMI and had a VGA lead running from the graphics card to another part of the room so I could unplug...
I've decided on buying a 5770.
I was looking at the Sapphire Vapor-X which seems to be a popular choice on here, but with the This Week Only Offer on the Club 3D & the standard Sapphire I'm starting to wonder if the Vapor-X is the best option for me?
Your opinions are valued!
Thanks
So it seems if I go down the used route I should be looking for a 4890 for £100 otherwise I should buy a 5770 new and overclock it?
On the new 5770 front The Sapphire Vapor-X seems a popular choice as does the Asus CuCore. Will overclocking invalidate the warranty of the Sapphire Vapor-X...
Nowt.
Just bought this used rig without a graphics card:
Mobo: Abit IP35 Pro
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHZ (overclocked to 2.7GHz)
CPU Heatsink: Thermalright Ultra-90 Heatsink
CPU Fan: Scythe Kama PWM 92mm Fan - 4-Pin PWM
Memory: Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 XMS2 PC2-8500C5 TwinX...
After waiting for the 5830 to come out and being dissapointed with its high price and then the subsequent price hike of the 5850 I've decided to look at buying a used graphics card in the £150 region.
What should I be looking for?
Thanks :D
A friend of mine has offered me his PC for £400 and I was wondering if you guise think it's worth it:

CPU Heatsink: Thermalright Ultra-90 Heatsink

Yup, tried encryption and various ports and still the same download cap.
I always knew BT Broadband was crap, but I didn't expect it to be this crap.
I'm just trying to download a torrent at my step-dads house and I can't seem to get above 35kB/s download speed. The torrent is being downloaded from a private tracker and has plenty of seeds and historically will in the majority of pervious downloads on my own connection max out at the full...
I set the multiplier to 9 and the CPU is now running at 3Ghz.
I wasn't aware that PC2-8500 is PC2-6400 tested and selected to run at PC2-8500 hence SPD shows it as PC2-6400.
Anyway, I've now switched the memory speed in the bios from auto to 1066Mhz and now CPUZ is showing a DRAM Frequency...
Just put together a new Core 2 Duo build (specced by a friend) and the last build I did was an AMD64 several years ago so I'm totally out of touch with what I should be expecting.
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Socket 775 (3.0GHz) 1333FSB 6MB L2
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 Gold...
Signed up and got much better dealings than my current dealings.
20 Megabytings for only £2.45 per month.
My old providings, UKOnlinings, were very co-operative in giving me my MAC key instantly.
