31 Days uptime on mine, around 500 crc errors in that time. I'm just on adsl and both up and down are showing interleaved though I still have as good a speeds as ever.

Do you need to include the storage within the £400 budget?
NAS doesn't need to be near your computer, could be just plugged into your router? Or just buy a small switch for less than £30 to feed any devices upstairs.

Just to add my $0.02 to the thread.
I've had this router for a couple of months, prior to this I had an ISP provided Thomson Modem router.
The old modem rarely dropped the connection ( once every couple of months maybe) with fairly consistent speeds of around 8 Meg on ADSL.

If your issue falls under the umbrella of an area 'outage' that subsequently gets resolved before the engineer visit that visit will generally be cancelled off saving an engineer going out and saving you waiting in as the problem has already been resolved.

Not a bios I'm familiar with but you will probably see best results leaving FSB alone and upping the multiplier with tweaks to the voltage accordingly.
