2024 OLED bonanza take your pick from dozens of new monitors

I'm probably going to go with the Gigabyte FO32U2P 32" 4K OLED. I have my dual system build in my V3000+ case, and from what I've read the KVM functionality on Gigabyte monitors is much better than the other brands.

Lian li infinity fan non white colour

I have had some of my infinity fans look a little yellow. But that was because I had a couple of 'sets' of fans running off a splitter into a regular argb hub. Once I ran each set individually into a powered argb hub the colours sorted themselves out. It's not unheard of for white rgb to start...

Connecting Lian Li AL120 fans directly to Farbwerk 360 RGBpx ports?

I would like to think the AL120s would work. I have Lian Li Infinity fans running into my Farbwork360 and they work perfectly fine.

    Lian Li Fans

The single fans and the fans that come with the controller are physically identical. It's the connection cable that comes with them that are different. The 3 fans+controller pack comes with cables which plug directly into the controller. Whilst single fans come with cables that break out into a...

Project: Snowball - White Lian Li V3000 Plus Dual System Build

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on here for a little bit. The low profile fittings are Bitspower fittings, on their site they list them as '90-Degree IG1/4" Extender'. The issue with them is that they're not rotary fittings, so if they don't end up in the right direction once they're...

Any perceived benefits to 24gb modules?

The benefits for me was that 24GB modules are rated for the same speeds as 16GB modules. And 32GB of RAM just wasn't quite enough for some processes I wanted to run.

PSA Warning: Asus Z690 Formula VRM block corroded

I'd say it was pretty obvious that when I said 'fine', I was talking in the context of what metals Asus had chosen for the components, and whether it'd be at a risk of causing corrosion. In that regard, yes it's fine. Pricing however, is a completely different discussion.

PSA Warning: Asus Z690 Formula VRM block corroded

If you watch the whole video the part that makes contact with the coolant is nickel plated copper. The part that touches the VRM is nickel plated aluminium. There are two separate hunks of metal joined together. The Z790 Formula is fine.

    Jonsbo N3

Built this over the weekend and it went quite well. There's easily enough space under the motherboard tray for the M.2 to 10G Ethernet adapter and it's heatsink, which freed up the PCIE slot for the 8087 SAS/Sata card.

    Jonsbo N3

I'm going to be using this case for a Truenas build. I've bought the MSI z790i Edge Wifi motherboard, as it has a rear m2 slot which I'll use for a 10G ethernet to m2 network adapter and then use the PCIE slot for a Mini-SAS card to hook up the 8 HDDs. I can then use the Dual M2 slots on the...

Anyone else's coolant disappearing in this heat.

I've never had issues with coolant disappearing, and I'm in Australia... :P

EK quantum torque micro 90 degree issues

The new Bitspower compact 90 degree fittings are pretty good, and comparable in height to the EK ones.

Project: Snowball - White Lian Li V3000 Plus Dual System Build

To be perfectly honest it's because I could and I've always wanted to try building a dual system. The way I will use it though, is that I do a lot of video rendering/encoding, which for the best quality is CPU intensive. And I wanted to still be able to game whilst doing it. I didn't want either...

Project: Snowball - White Lian Li V3000 Plus Dual System Build

Haha, technically that chair was the 'white/black’ model. It's pretty old though, so a new chair is definitely on the agenda.

Oh, and if anyone's curious I made both my desk and the cabinet the PC sits on out of heavily modified IKEA kitchen furniture. :P

Project: Snowball - White Lian Li V3000 Plus Dual System Build

And finally, the 'ugly' part. All the cables etc. in the bottom chamber. Plus as a little extra, I wired both of the USB outputs of the Aquacomputer devices (the OCTO and the Farbwerk360) to a USB 'Output' slot, so I can plug them into either PC or even my laptop. Since they run in hardware...

    Software controlled RGB Controller ?

I'd like to recommend Aquacomputer stuff, like the Farbwerk360, but it requires adapters as it uses it's own rgbpx connector. and it's also not that cheap. Advantage is that you can program it with software, but it saves the settings in hardware so that it'll work even if the software isn't running.

    13900K + Z690 RAM Speed slower than Z790?

When my RAM was set to 7200 I was able to run Cinebench with no issues for over half an hour, but as soon as I ran memtest86 errors started spewing out. 6933 ran memtest86 successfully once but had one error on the 4th pass on the 2nd attempt. 6800 was perfectly stable over multiple attempts...
