Is my CPU running 4.7GHz on single core or all 6 cores?

Overclocking in the BIOS. I am currently at just 1.26v @ 4.7GHz. I'd like to achieve 4.9GHz atleast. What voltage would you say I would need to be at to hit 4.9GHz?

Is my CPU running 4.7GHz on single core or all 6 cores?

I already ran Intel Burn Test as soon as I overclocked to 4.7GHz, temps were 69-70c max running for 15 minutes (very high stress). You think I could go more to 4.8 or 4.9GHz?

Is my CPU running 4.7GHz on single core or all 6 cores?

Hello. Just a silly question for someone that knows how to overclock and what not. I want to find out if my CPU is running 4.7GHz on ALL 6 cores or just 1 core. CPU: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/intel-core-i7-8700k-3.7ghz-coffee-lake-socket-lga1151-processor-oem-cp-64c-in.html Overclocking...

    M.2 compatible with all motherboards?

I have this board: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming Intel Z370 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard I am wondering if an M.2 like this would be compatible with it: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/samsung-970-evo-polaris-1tb-m.2-2280-pci-e-3.0-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-hd-23p-sa.html

    A suitable vcore for my 8700k @ 4.7GHz

Yeah I notice after a little the voltage dips a little then sticks to 1.26 mostly. I haven't got round to lowering the voltage by -1 and running IBT yet haha. If I can get 1.24 or 1.25 stable @ 4.7GHz then that'd be nice.

    i7 8700k won't overclock past 4.5GHz

If it helps, I'm 4.7GHz @ 1.26v but I haven't finished testing yet so I will test mine for stability at 1.25v then lower etc. My LLC is set to Turbo also if you wanted to know - it's recommended apparently for a high overclock.

    A suitable vcore for my 8700k @ 4.7GHz

CPU-Z reports 1.26. Ambient right now is 21c - 20-23c mostly. I used the pea method on the CPU then placed cooler on top and screwed down each corner by a little then screwed the other diagonally a little then repeated until all was down tight. I don't want to delid by the way haha.

    A suitable vcore for my 8700k @ 4.7GHz

I ran IBT on standard, high and very high, all threads and time to run I set to 5. Is 5 times enough or shall I do 10 (the default when I load up IBT)? Also I have used the latest version of Prime and when running that, my temps were 90-93c and I had a error/fail within 2-3 minutes but on IBT my...

    A suitable vcore for my 8700k @ 4.7GHz

Coolermaster HAF X case, 230mm intake at the front, 140mm outtake (bought my own green LED fans with high CFM (70-80CFM+), Dark Rock 4 CPU cooler (Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound). Also I ran IntelBurnTest on standard, high and very high and all were successful. Temps reached maximum 77c on...

    A suitable vcore for my 8700k @ 4.7GHz

Hello to all. I wanted to make this post as I only recently overclocked and want to know roughly what the best suitable vcore would be. Right now I have the vcore to 1.26 and ran Prime95 (small FFTs) for about an hour and no errors and all is good. I monitored temps in core temp and they...

i7 8700k CPU frequency all over the place (built today)

I got my cache ratio on 45, AVX I left it default (didn't change nothing), Speedstep is disabled along with the other power saving features etc, LLC I actually left on auto as I've seen people mention that some might be ok on auto and others on turbo.

i7 8700k CPU frequency all over the place (built today)

I've set the power setting in Windows back to balanced (default) and manually overclocked my 8700k to 4.7GHz. I've set my CPU Vcore to 1.27v. Is this too high or just about right or would I be ok at 1.26v or even 1.25v? Thanks.

My cores sit at 32-34c at 4400MHz in Core Temp. I guess that's great temps?

i7 8700k CPU frequency all over the place (built today)

Thank you. I did this and Core Temp is locked at 4400MHz. The default clock is 3.7GHz on the 8700k. I haven't touched any settings in the BIOS yet. Or is this just default settings in the BIOS?

i7 8700k CPU frequency all over the place (built today)

My old CPU (i7 920 D0) did not do this, it stayed at 4GHz. I want to find out what the setting is in the BIOS that causes this. I can't remember.

i7 8700k CPU frequency all over the place (built today)

Hello to all. I have noticed straight away in Core Temp or CPU Z my CPU frequency is up and down like a yo yo. Is there some setting in the BIOS that keeps the frequency at 3.7GHz default? I will be overclocking soon though to hopefully 4.7 or 4.8GHz. Thank you :)
