Maximum No. of Monitors per Card - Query

Hi Everyone, thanks for your advice. The majority of things that would be ran on it won't be gaming, however the occasional thing would by that isn't too taxing. I'll have a look at some of the 4 port cards, every one that I have seen appears to be 3, unless I went down the SLI route. Thanks...

Maximum No. of Monitors per Card - Query

Hi everyone, Currently in the process or replacing my machine however one of my caveats is several monitors, however the question I am trying to find the answer to doesn't seem to be answered (or, I am just asking the wrong question!) is there generally per card a maximum amount of...

    EA Sports UFC

The last MMA game from EA was terrible, such a button mashing affair. The new one shows a lot of potential, and it is a shame that THQ are no longer doing the games as the undisputed series was fantastic. EA years ago turned their noses up at UFC when they asked them to make a game, I guess...

BACON! How dost thou cooketh it?

I usually grill it - but when I was a student or in a place where a grill wasn't available microwaving was the way forward. It's not that bad, not a patch on grilling, but there is less mess really - just a plate to wipe. Rich

Fruit Smoothies & Protein Shakes - not together?

Yeah I know I am not disputing the awesomeness of fruit - I just remember reading that fruit (especially citrus) was not a good mix with protein whey. Well now I know better! I think peanut butter + Whey + Chocolate Milkshake powder sounds good! Rich

Fruit Smoothies & Protein Shakes - not together?

Hey, I am sure I remember reading somewhere that when you have protein shakes you should not mix them with fruit as its not good for the proteins (I assumes acids or something) however I always chuck a scoop or two in with a homemade fruit smoothie each morning. Is this a bad idea? Should...

Got myself a 'powerbar' chin up / pull up bar - mini review + pics

I have one of the ones above (Argos ones) and they are great - a great push up tool as well. They claim that you can do dips on them, but you can only drop about 3-4 inches which seems a bit poor to me, however pull ups / pushups it is great for. Rich

Any better weights than this to get me started?

As people have said - if you're planning on buying this equipment then joining the gym later, it's not a great investment. Go the gym, get into THAT routine. Plus a decent gym will have more equipment than you could ever afford - and extras like pools, saunas, hydrotherapy pools etc. Rich

    Plyometrics fans?

I started on it then moved on to mixing up the different cardio machines - I really should stick some back into my routine as it was a great way of boosting your heart rate and getting going on little time and equipment. Give it time and you'll get into the swing of it - you'll have that moment...
