Yes, I would not normally have bought a 3070ti, I would definitely gone for a 3080, but at the moment I just can't find a 3080 at anything like a reasonable price.
Yeah, I gave in and bought one, lol. It's been driving me mad for a long time and I just refused point blank to pay x2 rrp for a 3080 but readily picked up a 3070ti for what I think is about £100 over RRP.
I have been screaming for a new GPU for nearly a year now. I bought a new monitor just before the 3000 series came out, with the intention of buying a 3080, alas I made the drastic mistake of waiting.
I have to say that at the moment I am very tempted to get a 3070ti. These seem to be available at good prices which is kinda crazy. Although in theory they are not as good value as a 3080, at the moment they are available at prices much closer to RRP than the 3080, so in practice they are really...
Yes because we have moved on a generation but if we spend the same money then we actually get the same performance. In the past we would spend the same each generation and get about a 30% performance increase. In other words there is no real incentive to upgrade every generation now. It's only...
I use something called Screen Mom. It's expensive but comes in a HUGE bottle. There is enough to last me a lifetime. That and a very clean microfiber cloth.
Yes but I think that we are unlikely to see many cards that have a low margin. You note there are plenty of the high rrp to performance cards like the 3070ti and the 3080ti but absolutely none of the low margin 3080's.
I'm really moaning about the way that the price performance curve has really fallen, over, I dunno, about the last three to four years. I guess you could put that down to inflation, whatever, but to me it just seems that it's becoming difficult to justify the prices anymore. I certainly would...
I didn't read the other comments. It looks just fine. The back is supposed to look like that. There is nothing missing and while the box may have been opened ( I can not tell whether it has or not but you say it looked like is has ) the card has not been removed from the conductive bag.
Look at...
Airflow is a bit of a black art. What works for one case can fail miserably in another. So many factors play in the final outcome.
In general driving air in to the case is great, but then it has to get out. The only reason you need an exhaust fan is not to exhaust the air as such, because it...
Definitely the most powerful you can get. Although either will run most games just fine there are games out there that neither will manage 120Hz so the more powerful the better. 3070ti is of course more available. Both are still about double normal price :-((
The advantage over pinned apps is that I have them segmented in to a few different categories. And, no, I have the toolbar permanently visible.
That's quicker? Seems a lot slower to me. Besides, I can't always remember the name of apps!
Probably from a thermal pad. Not usually a problem. Given that the 3080ti is so new I would very much suspect that you may have to wait for various updates to solve the problem.
