    TV Licence Super Thread

The idea is to get people in, who can do the same job, probably not as famously, but for less money. For example the Lord Chief Justice gets the highest salary at £275,534 and yet Gary Lineker gets £2M. I expect Gary might consider giving up his salary to continue to have fun with his mates...

    TV Licence Super Thread

Working for the BBC needs to be thought of as a privilege where the talent expect to have salaries similar to the judicial system. They should sell it as voluntary British Broadcasting Corporation subscription and have the government come up with a modest shortfall. I only read the BBC...

Perhaps once @Sturm has had time to think about it, they'll have a change of heart, and become a posting machine.

I expect some on here have the For Sale section as their home page. :P I'm changing mine to GD and I'm looking forward to it freeing my mind. :D

:D I think of it as a difficulty I used to have because of how my brain is/was wired. I might not know anyone here anymore but I still have great respect for all of you.

Definitely not a fan. They need to stop needlessly breaking the law. They could have people use legal means to protest, like big groups of people using the pelican crossings. What can be done when people use their right of way?

Also I have no idea who any of these people are in this thread. I was simply standing up for what I believed was right and I now see that it was futile but still at least I tried.

I concede that I am fighting a losing battle. As a matter of protest I now prefer to stand with those retroactively revoked of their MM access. I accept that I will never have MM access again.

Do you see much evidence in society that people rarely pay attention to what is best for them until it's too late? Is there an alternative to people being retrospectively punished when a new rule is deemed to be appropriate?

What criteria would you suggest to promote many more "good" people on here having access to the MM?

So make the post count required to access the MM decay over time instead of having to retrospectively punish people?

How many of the good people who posted in this thread are caught in the crossfire and are resigned to blindly accepting the allegedly reasonable rules allowing access to the MM? How many good community members of this forum are expected to have access to the MM? I understand that you are sure...

I remember when I was a relative youngster buying and selling on the MM. It was a thriving place! It was full of good people unlike today where it's kinda heading towards being a ghost town by comparison. Am I nostalgically wrong? I remember back when this place began and how it was a great...

I agree! I'm arguing for a thriving MM rather than it being strangled because of a few bad actors who take advantage of the good people who give away their items cheaply while trusting it's going to a good cause.

I agree that selfish traders are a problem. It's frustrating when I see genuine good people miss out on something they have been looking for by a few hours because they were not as reactionary as the selfish traders. Am I wrong to argue for a thriving marketplace? Isn't there something about...

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

Why not argue the MM needs a continuous influx of good people to make it the thriving market place it used to be? Denying reasonable access to punish the few makes for a declining MM. I understand there are logistics and dangers from would be crooks and I trust it can be made to work best as...
