Hi guys So I repasted my sapphire Vega nitro + Vega 64 with kryonaut since I wanted to run higher clocks and the African summer heat isn't condusive to that. Anyways all went well, I managed to remove and replace the 2 warranty stickers on the GPU bracket so warranty shouldn't be a problem...

    Asus Prime X370-Pro Owner's thread

Hi guys Im hoping someone can help me. I have the Prime x370 pro with a R5 2600. Ive had it at 4,1ghz all core with 1,37v offset mode for about a year now. My problem is that the Vcore voltage doesnt scale down with clock speed. In the BIOS I have AMD cool and quiet enabled but that doesnt do...

If youre not willing to tinker with the card then no,its not worth it. Running the card stock is a huge diservice to yourself. If you are still adament on not tinkering with your GPU then get an rx580 or the new navi stuff when it comes out or even a rtx2060.

I experienced something similar. I think its becuase games more VRAM than synthetic benchmarks. Like for example Dishonoured 2 would use all 8gb but Superposition would only use 3 to 4 gigs.

So 19.4.1 is a *********** for me. It broke my sound and caused crashing and blue screens while exiting games. Also MSI Adterburner 4.6.0 doesnt work with 19.4.1 so no custom fan control wich means its back to the sudden jumps in fan speed and a hot GPU. Uninstalled with DDU and went back to...

Yes it is a VERY good cooler. I clean all my heatsinks with soapy water once a year or so to keep them nice and new looking.

Myself I dont do this. After shutting down properly I unplug the system from the wall since it will still draw some power and me living in South Africa I literally have to save every watt of power since electricity is a scarce and expensive comodity.

I unplug my PC from the wall to save power and my wattman profile stays when I turn on my PC again.

I keep fan control in wattman at auto and use MSI afterburner beta 12 to configure a custom fan curve. You have finer control with Afterburner and in my case changing any setting in wattman causes the fans to idle at 1200rpm. So therefore I use Afterburner to make it so the fans are off until 35...

Try the beta version of MSI afterburner as the fan control works. My Sapphire card does around 1600-1630mhz actual in game with a 50mv undervolt and HBM can do 1050mhz but starts artifacting very slightly at 1060mhz and gets worse the higher you go.

You Know whats strange? outside of this one specific area those settings were fine and I had no issues, the core clock would peak to about 1650mhz as gpu usage went up and drop back down with usage linearly.I suppose this area realy pushed the card hard.

Right so last night while playing Subnautica I got to a new area and my gpu went nuts.Usage went to 100% and the core clock climbed to 1670+ then crashed.Complete system crash in which I had to restart my PC.Tried that same area again and had another crash but this time just the game and driver...

So first I thaught this might be a new driver bug , my monitor would flicker than a floating box appears saying that monitors resolution is not optimal. This would happen whenever I started superposition but not actual games. When I turned off freesync it stopped.I tried again with freesync on and...

Right so after some time benching Ive found that my Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 is not a good overclocker. It tops at 1050mhz Memory and p6 1582mhz @ 1100mv , p7 1687mhz @ 1150mv. Raisng the memory even 10 or 20 mhz more results in slight artifacting, and at 1100mhz I get worse artifacting, all while...

So after testing I settled on what I thought was a stable UV and OC at p61000mv,p71100mv and HBM 1100mhz but These settings would cause artifacts so I backed down to 1080mhz on HBM . Still I get crashes in Subnautica so now im running my older OC profile of p61100,p71160 and HBM 1000mhz. Again...
