The 4090 is an absolute monster both in performance and size.
A vertical riser is essential and makes life a lot easier (although I had to "modify" my Lian Li O11D case slightly) even with this.
Corsair (specifically) and a couple of others are providing 600W PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR Type-4 PSU Power...
I was wondering if I should get the 5800X3d but I went mad and got the Ryzen 7 7700X and I have to say that I'm impressed. It cost a bit but at least it's future proof. Relative I guess if you are going to use the 5800X3d for 5 years.
Unfortunately it's a long wait until the 13th of December to see how it potentially fills the gap between the 4080 and 4090 and it may be a lot harder to get stock later on.
How did the third Zotac go. Fan noise resolved? I've used the Be Quiet! case before switching to the Lian Li 011 XL and I miss it honestly but the Lian is better for space.
Yeah and then you have AMD providing FSR 3.0 for legacy generation AMD GPUs and NVidia GPUs. The way it should be. AMD are playing the long game. I'm sure Nvidia could have made DLSS 3.0 work on 3000 series and previous gen to a point.
The supplier knows you want the card and it's in high demand so they are not really worried about you raising an issue about the adapter and they will always quote recommended thresholds. I believe there is a 600W bios for it where you can go as high as 125%. Sounds crazy though.
Even though they've had years of planning...I really hope they do have a lot of stock because I have a feeling it's going to be in high demand and I want one at launch.
