Journey is quite relaxing

Just installed an Asus Loki SFX-L PSU, it's atx 3 rating so only one cable from PSU to the Nvidia 4 series connector (not sure what the name is). Made by Seasonic, and backed by 10yr warranty, and quiet. Only had it less than 1wk, but am impressed.

Asus Loki are decent, made be Seasonic. Its SFX-L though, and on the expensive side.

If you can, get an ATX 3 PSU. Only one cable from psu to the 4080.

Still got my A1200 in the loft. No idea if its still functional, but was when I sadly packed it away all those years ago when I had a console.

Odyssey for single player, if you want local multiple player then you're spoilt for choice. Mario Bros, Wonder and 3D World to name a few platformers, and Mario Kart 8 is perfect for local MP.

Quite a bit older, Supreme Commander, can also have loads of units.

Robocod was a classic! Surprised no other platformer has copied its protagonist stretching ability (AFAIK).

Prodeus. A so-called Boomer Shooter, easy to pick and play. Annoying cannot save mid-level though.

Sounds like Civilization, hard to put that one down.

That's a powerful CPU in a small case. How are idle and load temps and noise?

Not sure about native MacOS shooters, but is PC emulation an option (eg using parallels, crossover)?

If APU then budget is easier - just APU (eg 8600G), mobo, ram and NVME. Otherwise cost of GPU would need to be accounted for, perhaps a lower spec CPU would work.

Went from UWQHD to 4k. Initially had a 3070, this struggled with anything 4k. Moved up to a 4070ti, and with DLSS and settings around high get decent frame rates, around 100's. Obviously depends on the games played. For productivity the 4k wins for me no question. For gaming I'm based to wards...
