as with all patching you get risk. I'm a bit lazy with bios patching unless I read release notes and want the fix (e.g. new bios's have security fix/may slow you down slightly, but I went for the one that improved 5800x3d support). if you have old bios you need to read back as its cumulative...
One day when I'm feeling flush I should stop using the free version of macrium. Everyone should keep an eye out for smart errors. Use as early warning. Hwinfo etc.

HWinfo64 does a not bad job of showing whats going on, but it can confuse with the quantity of information.
I have found getting a nvme with a better controller / larger capacity / more cache has helped / over the other factors. (only notice in benchmarks / waste of money / but meh)
Bit scared, my brain automatically changed the subject.
Something to think about next rebuild, bit like using top nvme for boot on the cpu rather than chipset/switched.

I have found having a few nvme slots useful as the price comes down I fancy more / not wanting to bin old ones.
It just works with what you have, if the OS can't snapshot and copy to new disk your best bet is to copy files individually (to usb disk etc) and start again...
Not sure I saw on other comments but ram is fine, spend on gpu and nice 1440p monitor.
4k = loads of money... (4090 - good 4k monitor - bigger psu), be upset when 4090 ti comes out.
