The more I think about it Ill end up probably getting an AIO. For me to get a new case Ill have to buy new fans for the air cooler plus buying some extra fans for the side where there is no rad. I think the cost of switching to an AIO would be a wash and all that is keeping me on the Noctua is...
So this is going to probably seem like an odd question. I am looking to replace my HAF-X as I simply want something more modern. I have always liked the O11 design however I just never got around to swapping cases. I am now at a point where I want to make the change due to me wanting to get...
Got my 6900XT installed and up and running. Are there any settings that are a must have to be on? I havent had an AMD GPU in years. SAM is already activated.
Stock is moving quickly and the prices are about as low as they will go, even Gibbo has made a comment to that in another thread. If you want for 7000 you risk not having stock or prices going up.
I have never done that test but breaking 90C would be a bit worrying for me however, benching is generally much harder on the system that real life use. What kind of temps do you get while gaming? I can get anywhere from 70-80C while gaming but my averages are usually in the 50-60C range.
Here is my fan curve, since I have a different (larger) air cooler it is slightly different that I thought it was but basically it runs at 80% all the time.

My fan curve is set for 65 plus I think and what you are seeing is quite normal even for installing a game. As long as you stay below 80C I would not be all that concerned and look at the average temps to get an idea on how hot your system is running. Personally I use HWinfo64 because it has...
It is quite normal for Ryzen to do this and that is why you just set your fan curve to keep it going at a respectable RPM all the time. If you have quiet fans you should still not even hear them.
But the fans will have nothing to do with the negative offset voltage? Also, I have the same cooler as he does but I never really played with the PWM settings.
Not boosting over 4 Ghz is a bit odd but I suspect that is thermal throttling. I seem to recall that the chips will start to cut back around 65-70C. 7000 is not a terrible score, not great, but not too far out. I have a better cooler and I think I get around 7200. Look at the average temps...
I changed my fan curve to reduce the constant wind up and down. CB scores take a lot of tweaking to get right. Are you on the latest bios/chipset/windows updates? Thermal throttling is not an uncommon thing with these chips (I have a 3900x too).
To give you an example I have the Ducky Shine 7 with silent cherry red's. The keyboard is no louder than my old one which was a membrane. Just keep in mind that a good keyboard will cost you a lot.
