    Massive Car insurance costs?

Unlikely. But if you have a spare 15mins... Whenever i ring to cancel these days it seems like they don't even bother trying to better a deal. Just get onto the compare sites, and take a quick look at possible cashback for an additional £20 to £50.

    Massive Car insurance costs?

My similar automobile was about £30 more this time, and strangely was cheaper for fully comp, and last time was the opposite.

    Mattresses - I need knowledge

I ordered an Emma dual sided topper thing last night to hopefully fix my Johnryan, and my upper back. I'm half tempted to just buy a cheapo open coil thing and try that if the topper doesn't provide decent results. Given i spent a decade on one without major issues it seems like a better option...

What are the general thoughts around crossplay?

Ultimately depends on the player base numbers. If competitive had trackable ranks with stats on hardware then it would be more forgiving, or the option to opt out of matchups, eg, crossplay, country, age, etc. If players really wanted the challenge they'd embrace the differences, but reality is...

Hence why the thread is this long, we all feel the pain, physically too it seems :o

    Mattresses - I need knowledge

For those with deep mattresses, John Ryan for example, and using a topper, how are you using a cover/sheet? I'm not sure if i'll be able to get the current deep fitting sheet over both.

Is the console going to become extinct or evolve?

Correct me if wrong here as i don't have the foggiest about coding, but your first point is only relevant to graphics, something which is bottlenecked by lower end hardware. The PC is making more use of software enhancements currently to help lower end hardware achieve 4k, higher FPS, or...

Isn't this included with Games Pass for free, or is that something else?

    Reddit is dying

At a stretch that could be an RMA receipt of some kind. Doesn't look familiar, but i don't recall my last order date.

    Reddit is dying

It's sad that they probably aren't going to be able to call the guy out publicly due GDPR and professionalism, but would be funny and deserved. I imagine the amount of tryhard scammers they get is a lot, which only adds to the cost the genuine consumer pays. This is another example of reddit...

    Advert shown before unlocking phone.

There's a chap at work (~27yrs) who likes tracking ads because "it could be something i'd like to buy." I doubt he's in the minority either, some people like to buy buy buy, and the traffic is tracked in detail we know.

Is the console going to become extinct or evolve?

Hard to say what's going to happen. I don't see Nintendo's favouritism slowing up any time soon. Xbox and PS will possibly move to quicker console releases to appease the shareholders for the short term. If Xbox did pull out and leave Sony in the hardware space i think Sony might try more varied...

    Matrix 5

I'd give it a watch, especially so with someone else's spin on it. I've yet to watch 4 as i'll pick it up when it's a few quid, it's still 2 quid too expensive :D I enjoyed 2 and 3, you just gotta take them for what they are, simplistic action films. Problem with some of the new hollywood films...

"The human eye can't see over 24fps" - Let this myth die, whilst new science reveals some people can identify high framerates

Read this earlier, surprising that some people can't perceive some slow flashing, but what i think that actually looks like and what it is could be quite different. I don't think this even gives any results we can draw solid conclusions from, but yet the FPS circle jerk will no doubt lap this...

    Youtube adverts

Can't say i've noticed any issues on various browsers on desktop recently. One or two did try an pop up several months back but guess that was fixed. On mobile FF with Origin still plays fine in the background for when i rarely use it.

Should Gordon call an election this year?

Reading the first page you do get that impression. So much has changed since then, yet now feels very similar. I had a few leaflets through my door, Tory and Labour. Tory says contradictory blatant bs, Labour asks about local issues. Yet i have no idea of any local issues since all the...

    Mattresses - I need knowledge

Yes, and i have a John Ryan cheaper model. A slight counter to this is start in a warm room so you fall asleep in a warm position and not in a cold one where you wrap up more in the quilt to compensate. Hopefully that makes sense! Also checking the over night temp before going to bed so you can...

    The increasing incompetence of companies

Whilst a bigger population equals more of those people, i think naturally as towns are compressed and squeezed with new housing and consequently surrounded by more people, the 'city attitude' becomes the norm. But also the general attitude to others tends to be negative as a local friendly face...

How Easy Is It To Sell an Old Piano These Days?

Whilst a pain, someone might have it for free as firewood if broken down. Ideally wants to be sanded to remove any chemicals, but some people don't care and will burn anything. You're guaranteed to find a local free FB group that can also be worth a go. But ultimately many people don't...
