VBA question for accessing Microsoft Access

Thanks Everyone. I realise my original post was very complicated, and I should have just said "How to write to the description property of a table". I did eventually find some code on the internet which helped: Tek-Tips Link MarkSweetland (MIS)20 Jun 04 09:44 I believe the Table description...

VBA question for accessing Microsoft Access

This is a bit of a long-winded explanation. Basically, we have several users using the same database for projects. If they have updated their database while on a project, I want to compare the databases side-by-side to see which tables have been the last to be modified, so I can tell that table...

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Me too. I'm in my third lockdown in two months. They are also promising this one to be the shortest, 5 days. Not sure I believe... Everyone is so depressed now. Especially watching the crowds at the World Cup, wondering why it's so different here.

    Supermarket Scotch eggs

I have to. You won't find them out here. I've made chicken egg Scotch eggs and quail egg Scotch eggs. I also prefer a softer egg.

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Not in China. We had two jabs, 8 weeks apart, then a booster after 6 months. No further boosters. As for fatigue - the endless lockdowns and compulsory testing at 06:30 every morning is the cause of my fatigue!

    COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Exactly the same as me. There's so much relief when we get out of lockdown, and then suddenly back in one again with no warning. We are not allowed out of our apartments, except to go outside for our daily covid test at 06:30. No idea how long this lockdown will last, but at least I'm stocked up...

How many weeks of food do you have stored?

I have about 6 weeks supply, mostly due to the endless lockdowns, which happen without warning. I have about 15 litres of water too.

    Aromatic cookery

What foods carry the most smells once cooked? I'm guessing not a lot of English dishes, although I love the smell of freshly cooked bread, and I also love the smell of curry - I get the most WOW factor when my friends come in the door and smell the cooking, if it's good... I'm just not...

Do you still carry a wallet or purse?

I also never pay with cash or cards, but with my phone, both WeChat Pay and AliPay. Absolutely everywhere excepts it here.

What's your "go to" take away order?

I learned to make pizza, so I don't order them anymore. It would be Indian every time, but we don't have any here, so it's Chinese every time. We have quite a few here.

Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI - is it DDR4 or DDR5?

Thanks, yes, I have now found the Asus site which compares both models: https://rog.asus.com/compareresult/?productline=motherboards&webpathname=ROG-STRIX-Z690-A-GAMING-WIFI,ROG-STRIX-Z690-A-GAMING-WIFI-D4&id=143467,137317 I think the DDR5 version is too new, I haven't found any reviews of it...

Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI - is it DDR4 or DDR5?

I'm thinking of a rebuild, and wanted to go Z690 and preferably an i7-12700K, and the Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi struck my eye. According to the Asus website: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-a-gaming-wifi-model/ it's clearly DDR5. But according to...

Update Synology Disk to a larger sized one??

Thanks for this information, very thorough. I cannot seem to find the Storage Manager app, but I'm pretty sure you are right in it being RAID0, I bought it in 2014 and I can't remember. I looked at the specifications on the Synology website for the DS213air and it says So it looks like I...

Update Synology Disk to a larger sized one??

I would also like to jump on this thread as I have a similar question (but slightly different). I have the Synology DS213air, with 2x4TB drives. I don't have it as RAID so I get the full 8TB (well, 7.2TB), I need storage space as opposed to redundancy. in "Control Panel, Info Center, Storage"...

    Whole Mackerel in the fridge

I'm feeling pretty stupid right now, I had no idea you had to gut your own shop bought fish in UK. I never cooked fish before I left, I was a terrible cook. I just presumed they were all pre-gutted. Like "Tesco whole chicken" already has the head and feet removed... :o

    Duck Breast

Thanks! I think I can manage that, with a bit of practise...! And I have a good fitted oven, which is quite rare out here. I love duck. And I also love meats on the rarer side.

    Duck Breast

For some reason I always assumed duck breast was expensive, so I've never bought it, or even looked for it. I saw some frozen duck breast last weekend in the supermarket, and was shocked to find it costs £1.53 per kg, which is cheaper than chicken breast (£2.20 per kg). The thing is, I've...

    Flaxseed oil - uses?

I've just been given two 750ml bottles of flaxseed oil for my birthday, but I've never used it before. Can I use it as a substitute for olive oil? or are there recipes which benefit from flaxseed oil? Apparently it's smoking point is really low, so I have no idea. Google and Yahoo are blocked...

    Picky Eaters

I am not. I had heard that you would have to take that medicine everyday for the rest of your life, which I don't want to do. When it flares up (which is rarely, as I watch what I eat), i take NSAIDs. Usually that deals with it, but I'm suffering at the moment, and for the last week, just won't...
