I bought some junk Cat7 cables a long time ago from amazon and just looking to replace them for some decent, normal cables. I assumed all flat cables were junk and was suprised to see them on Kenable that's all.
Autocorrect did me dirty there, yikes.
Just looking at replacing the ethernet cables in my home was looking at Kenable Cat8 but there all flat cables, thought they were a reputable place to buy cables but I've also read flat cable is just a gimmick. Any help here would be appreciated.
This is incorrect you CAN offer them to i think its up to 3 friends and family, a friend of mine works for Virgin Media so was explaining that they limited as there were some offering it out to their entire street and profiting the difference in price.
Frustrating to know the SH4 doesn't currently support DOCSIS 3.0 and so will literally only be useful to those upgrading to the 1Gbps service when I rolls out as this is DOCSIS 3.1 which the router is configured for :(
Fair enough, thanks.
I will hook it up to my laptop tomorrow and see what speeds I can reach. 90% of my device are wireless so it would seem this particular jump in speed won't benefit me as much as I first thought. Certainly worth having the new SH4 though over the old model.
Yes it does :)
500Mbps download and 52Mbps Upload via Wifi (S10) seems to be the limit however it is now reaching 400/50Mbps in rooms which the SH3 struggled to maintain connection.
Interestingly my Xbox speed connection test via Ethernet is only reaching the same wondering what CAT the cable they have...
Got my new Superhub 4 today trialling the new 1Gps fibre. It will be interesting to see what I can pick up speed wise via most day to day wireless devices.
Thank you, I think the LR maybe the best option for me based on your input. After all I'm only running 14 devices on my home network and 2 of those are wired. As long as they can all reach close to maximum speed without dropouts, I'll be a happy bunny.
