    Best Point & Shoot Cameras

Hi there, My girlfriend is after a good point and shoot camera - things I'm after are: - Image Stabilisation - Fast Shutter (good low-light shots) - Fairly compact (read: not neccesarily smallest, but not Prosumer/SLR) - At least 4x Optical Zoom (Digital Zoom = Urgh) - Wide Angle would...

    Best 20"+ PVA/S-PVA Monitors

Hello chaps, I've been out of the PC/monitor-specification business for a couple of years ago now. I currently own a 19" Samsung 193P so I'm completely swung for PVA/S-PVA panel goodness - I just love those viewing angles. I've tried a few TN panels in the past and I've not really got on...

    18 Month Contracts

Got a query - I'm now at the 12 month mark of an 18 month contract with T-Mobile. When can I expect to be offered or able to get an upgrade? Makes a mental note to self: [Never sign up for 18 months. Again.] Cheers

Performance Boost for Socket 939 System

:) Would my RAM be sufficient? Not been in touch with the finer details of Mhz/timings for a while - but would be PC3200 RAM be okay?

Performance Boost for Socket 939 System

Everything is working perfectly really - my XP build was rock solid for two years too. I moved to Vista a couple of months ago - and whilst I'd love to make the move to Intel Core 2 Quad not sure I can really justify the expenditure. Any thoughts on my PC3200 400Mhz memory? Currently have 4 x...

Performance Boost for Socket 939 System

Hello chaps... I have a PC that I built from components from OcUK two and a half years ago. I'm not into gaming (console for that), so I only use my PC for web, email and office kind of stuff. Current spec: - Abit AN8 NForce Ultra 4 - AMD Athlon64 3500+ - 2Gb DDR RAM - OcUK Geforce...

    USB Scanner Problem

Hello, I have a problem whereby my new Epson multifunction thing will print, but will not scan - it reckons some communication error. This is also the same when trying to use HP scanner too so it's obviously something to do with my machine. A few details: XP SP2 fully patched up using...

Vista 32bit - Spooler Subsystem Stopped Working...

...was closed down. This message keeps on getting displayed when-ever I boot up. As a result, I can't print. Stop/Starting the services doesn't help either - any ideas? Cheers :)

    Clubbing advice?

Turnmills' sound system is just really poor in general. The End's and Fabric's system put it to shame. I don't think I've ever heard a system as good as Fabric's Martin Audio setup. Old article but demonstrates the thought gone into good sound...

Fabric Birthday Weekend - Anyone going?

I was there last night - the Plumps in room one simply rocked. I'm off again tonight - probably going to spend at bit of time in Room 3 for the Amalgamation of Sounds (awesome eclectic sets). Anyone else love the oven gloves they were giving away? (i.e. birthday, so bake a cake stylee! :D )...

    PAC Transfer Query

Also, I received a picture message from a mate but it came as a link as opposed to the physical image. I've checked the options and I definately have the download images immediately option ticked... any ideas?

    PAC Transfer Query

I had my number transferred to T-Mobile today and my old Orange number is now on my MDA Vario 2. However, I just had a text message from my mate and when I scroll up to see who he sent it too it comes up as the old numer (i.e. the one that shipped with the phone) - surely it should be my new...

o2 Upgrades - Bad news for some

I've just told Orange where go too... They wanted £100 for an M3100 and my average bill is £60 per month.  Not even retentions would budge!! Hello T-Mobile Flex-t 35 with Web n Walk and a shiny new MDA Vario 2.

Creative MegaWorks 250D - Keep Sub, but use own speakers?

All sorted, I'm now treble-fied! :D It uses the same connectors. :)

Creative MegaWorks 250D - Keep Sub, but use own speakers?

I have the above speakers, but whilst they're nice and loud/powerful - I find the treble quite lacking due to their lack of independant tweeter. Now, I was thinking... I have some spare speakers from my old Sony RX99 Hifi, would it work if I plugged these in instead of the normal satellites...

    Okay, thanks. :)

    Orange Care

I currently have a K750i and over the past few days the directional thingy has moments where it will only work in the "up" direction. Now, is something I can claim on Orange Care, and also - does a replacement have to be another K750i ('cos given the choice, I'd be grabbing a C600 instead if it...

Sony Ericsson Update Service and Sync Software

Any ideas when the C600 will be out on Pay As You Go? I'm seriously thinking about selling the K750i (which as a phone is great, but I just miss the Outlook integration that the Smartphones do so well) and then buying a C600. If I did this, would my Orange care still be valid - or would I need...

    Do O2 modify their phones???

Orange are pretty ruthless - my K750i doesn't have the lovely colourful rendered Sony menu, but some shoddy effort that looks like it was made in Microsoft Paint in under five minutes, using just 10 shades of Orange, by a five year old, blindfolded... Nice one fellas...

Sony Ericsson Update Service and Sync Software

Absolutely appalling!  After experiencing 12 months of Active Sync bliss, I now have to suffer the "will it work this time" and "trial and error" misery of Sony's poor software. Anyone else think it's that dire? Nine months and counting until I can go back to Smartphone...
