    Fleecehold

Only once in my time but they ended up paying before it went to court. ManCo used solicitors when required, just as an external one would.

    Fleecehold

The idea being the ManCo would have the same weight as an external one - in the basic sense that there would be the same legal requirement to pay any monies owed. I've been a director of two self-policing resi management companies and they've worked just fine. Yes, you have the hassle of sorting...

    MyWhoosh PC Spec Question

CPU could be your issue. I have a similar setup: 6600XT, 32GB but with an 11900 CPU. No issues at 1440P. I use Zwift 95% of the time but may cancel over the summer with increased outdoor rides and just use MyWhoosh if the weather is grim.

    Bst should be kept permanently.

100% up for BST all year. I think it would make the country more productive, both economically and socially.

Odd situation with online retailer (John Lewis)

I bought one for my wife. Arrived yesterday morning, then I received the same email yesterday evening. I've been billed for the £229. If they try to take more, I'll contest with JL CS. However, I very much doubt they'll do this. Hope your mum likes her new phone! :)

    Amazeballs

Correct. Very hard (but not impossible) from UK trees. All the mature trees you see were planted from 1850's onwards - the Victorians loved them and then they fell out of favour. This article explains how to grow them: https://www.redwoodworld.co.uk/growing.htm And this explains how they came to...

    Amazeballs

https://www.redwoodworld.co.uk/locations.htm has a wealth of information about them and decent list of locations for viewing them in the UK.

    Amazeballs

Hard to tell from the photo but the tree sits about 60cm beneath the road which is also permeable. No sign of any roots lifting it up either. The road has been there since it was planted so very much used to being there, I guess.

It is exposed and sways hugely in the wind. It has survived at least one lightning strike too. Checked once in a while by an arborist.

    Amazeballs

I am the custodian of this 160y/o baby. There is a second one in the garden, although it's surrounded by other mature trees and quite difficult to photograph despite its size. Sadly, a third has to be removed due to disease.

The Indoor Riding/ Zwift/ TrainerRoad etc. Thread

Because you'll be using the Cog, any bike will do. Just choose which type of bike you want (road/mtb/other) and find one that fits you that isn't a complete lemon. Wahoo Kickr core with the Zwift Cog is a great first choice because if you end up not liking indoor cycling they should hold their...

PC and monitor here. Quite a few folks use Apple TV too. I've personally not had any companion app connection issues. Could mount your phone on the handlebars or use a table perhaps. Regarding FTP test, you only need to do that if using ERG mode to do workouts to set a baseline. Workouts and...

It sounds like workouts are going to be your thing. As you're new to cycling, I'd do a ramp test, then FTP builder plan. Repeat. See how that fits into your lifting. If your setup is on the PC, you can download the plans and do them at your leisure, rather than a fixed schedule. Once you've gone...

I completed "TT Tune Up" the other day. I really enjoyed it and nailed all the sessions apart from the "Power Intervals" sessions in the latter weeks which were too hard. Nice 2.7-3.0w/kg improvement. I still managed to mix in a few outdoor rides and a bit of running too. Now going to give...

The easiest cruise intervals from TT Tune Up plan (Cruise Intervals #1). Available as a separate workout and can be found in the Collections > Threshold group. #4 also available but that is quite a bit harder. https://whatsonzwift.com/workouts/tt-tuneup/week-2-cruise-intervals-1 Gorby light...

    Cities Skylines 2 is Official!

It's ok but not amazing. Performance and bugs have improved with patches but there's still a lot to do. For example, the sim lags above moderate populations. For me, the game lacks a bit of soul vs CS1 (lack of animations and limited assets), and until there's official mod support and the...
